The Local teams up with Djungeltrumman to help point you in the right direction if you're planning a night out in Stockholm this Saturday.

2.35;1

Address: Berns, Berzelii Park
9pm – 4am
150 kronor
Age: 23 and over
Website

The new Berns has undergone a major facelift and has recently reclaimed its undeniable place as one of the city’s biggest, best and most ambitious nightclubs.

Walk in through the hotel entrance, go down the stairs and you will discover a gigantic floor space with more than enough room for dancing, getting to know people and hanging around in the lounge in a nice dark environment with the freshest clientele in town.

In terms of music, Berns plays everything from hip-hop to house, jazz and soul. There’s also a major focus on art exhibitions, film viewings and other visual treats.

Fritz´s Corner

Address: Debaser Slussen, Karl Johans Torg 1
8pm - 3am
100 kronor (60 kronor for members)
Age: 18 and over (20 for members)
Website

Fritz's Corner is one of the city's oldest and most popular rock clubs. Every Saturday sees an offering of wonderfully interesting live bands from Södermalm and abroad, as well as a busy dancefloor shaking to everything from electro pop to rock'n'roll.

Tonight

Tar...Feathers and Lux Lumen playing live. In DFB, guest DJs Adrian, Madelene and Kristofer from Throw Me Away will be mixing post punk pearls and messy punk with stylish disco edits, raunchy soul and fabulous pop from all eras.

Klubb Idyll

Address: Landet, LM Ericssons Väg 27
7pm - 1am
30 kronor (20 kronor for members, free until 9pm)
Age: 18 and over
Website

Queer club Idyll has left the minuscule surroundings of El Mundo bar for the larger Landet at Telefonplan. But the concept remains the same as before.

One weekend a month the club serves up dance, sweat, sexy electro and electronic orgasms in equal measure.

There is almost always some form of cultural activity early in the evening - a book release and reading, speed dating, or a workshop - before the dancing gets underway.

Tonight

First up this evening is the Juntan art society, which will be talking about the play "Om hon var kille skulle jag vara kär i henne", followed by DJ duo Hasse & Kärran, who promise poppy, hip-hoppy, electro(y), and maybe even baile funky dance music. Last up is DJ Wanna Fock, who will be playing electro, synth pop and disco - more happy than pornographic.

Vassa Lördag

Address: Vassa Eggen, Birger Jarlsgatan 29
10pm - 2am
Free entry
Age: 23 and over
Website

Over the last few years Vassa Eggen has gradually begun to take over as the most obvious hangout for the city's pub-going hip-hop and nightclub audience.

Every weekend the bar on the outer edge of the Stureplan area is full to bursting with all the old regulars from Riche/East/Annakhan/Berns/Floras Kulle, who love dancing on the bar to everything from old school hip-hop to Baltimore club, soul, funk, disco and electro.

Among the most frequent DJs are people like DJ Taro, KärleksJohan, A Lowe Thing, Thomas LA, Myggan, Jeppe Körsbär and Hackenbush.

YES!

Address: Mosebacke, Mosebacke Torg 3
9pm - 2am
80 kronor (Free until 11pm)
Age: 20 and over
Website

YES! is, in all likelihood, the best and most ambitious hip-hop club in town. At least once a month Mosebacke is filled to bursting with people dancing, breakdancing and listening to the very best of hip-hop, along with a generous helping of breakbeats, house, R&B and soul.

The residents here are Pure P, Flaite and Don Dada and the guests are often well-known foreign stars and promising Swedish talents, either playing DJ sets or performing live.

When summer comes around, the club spills out onto the big outdoor terrace with a phenomenal view out over the whole of Stockholm.

Tonight

YES ALLSTARS with WillRock, Pure P, DJ Taro, Jayzon, MC J-Ro, Ametist, Flaite and Don Dada.
