The Djungeltrumman club editor's tips.

2.35;1

Address: Berns, Berzelii Park
9pm – 4am
150 kronor
Age: 23 and over
Website

The new Berns has undergone a major facelift and has recently reclaimed its undeniable place as one of the city’s biggest, best and most ambitious nightclubs.

Walk in through the hotel entrance, go down the stairs and you will discover a gigantic floor space with more than enough room for dancing, getting to know people and hanging around in the lounge in a nice dark environment with the freshest clientele in town.

In terms of music, Berns plays everything from hip-hop to house, jazz and soul. There’s also a major focus on art exhibitions, film viewings and other visual treats.

Ace

Address: Mango Bar, Sveavägen 36
10pm - 3am
80 kronor
Age: 20 and over
Website

The most popular indie/ectro club in town continues to get the kids dancing until they're dripping with sweat every Saturday night.

Daniel Öhrn and Nils Carlén boss over proceedings with Christian Dinamarca, resident DJ in the electro room.

The main dancefloor is reserved for indie, rock, pop and such, with fairly well-known DJs and live bands often dropping by. The smaller dance floor is all about electronic dance music.

Bar Brasil

Address: Mosebacke, Mosebacke Torg 3
9pm – 2am
100 kronor
Age: 20 and over
Website

Ever since 1993, Bar Brasil has treated Stockholm to a warm breeze of Brazilian rhythms. Samba, pagode, forró, axé music, samba-reggae, melodic funk and much more. Get your hips and hair moving on the dancefloor when DJs such as Wesley and Le Fox crank things up.

Tonight

Massive carnival party as Bar Brasil celebrates its 15th anniversary with a live performance from 71-year-old singer Elza Soares and Farofa Carioca. There'll also be batucado and samba with Maravilha do Samba & Grillo (cavaquinha) and Simone Moreno, as well as a samba show with dancers from Viva Brasil.

Bauer Weekends

Address: Bauer, Götgatan 15
9pm - 1am
Free entry
Age: 20 and over
Website

The hyper attractive Götgatan bar Bauer has made a major commitment to getting in great DJs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Large sections of the snazzy Stockholm elite are brought together in the large bar to play everything from hip hop, Baltimore club and disco to indie rock and electro.

Tonight

Old house fox George Truly gets behind the decks.

Fritz´s Corner

Address: Debaser Slussen, Karl Johans Torg 1
8pm - 3am
100 kronor (60 kronor for members)
Age: 18 and over (20 for members)
Website

Fritz's Corner is one of the city's oldest and most popular rock clubs. Every Saturday sees an offering of wonderfully interesting live bands from Södermalm and abroad, as well as a busy dancefloor shaking to everything from electro pop to rock'n'roll.

O-Baren

Address: O-Baren, Stureplan 2
9pm - 2am
Free entry
Age: 21 and over
Website

O-Baren located right at the back of the luxury Sturehof restaurant, is like a little oasis in the middle of Stureplan. Here you can be certain of avoiding DJ Bobo, Basshunter and champagne-spraying brats. Instead Lorenzo and Nicke at the bar always make sure there are some top notch DJs playing some of the best rock, indie, electro, soul, house and disco in town.

Send in the Clowns

Address: Debaser Medis, Medborgarplatsen
7pm - 3am
100 kronor (Free before 10pm)
Age: 20 and over
Website

The ever ambitious Send in the Clowns is still moving along with its constant club crawl across the venues of our royal capital.

One Saturday every month they install themselves at Debaser Medis and put on some fabulous live acts, while also playing well-chosen songs on the dance floor for the indie arm-waving brigade and the snogging couples in the sofas.

Sandra Bergman and Erik Dellgren are resident DJs on the main dancefloor.

Tonight

A long-awaited performance from Casiokids from Norway. Support: Little Jinder.

Sandra and Erik are paid a visit on the main dancefloor by Familjen's Johan Karlsson and Andreas Tilliander, while This is POP from Hamburg will be playing in the bar.

Traffic

Address: Allhuset, Universitetsvägen 9
10pm - 3am
100 kronor
Age: 18 and over
Website

Club Traffic has been running club nights, events and parties since 2002 at various different venues in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö, always with a focus on drum'n'bass but often including a broad spectrum of dance music genres like dubstep, techno and grime.

Now they've set up shop out at the university where they'll be presenting fantastic DJs and visuals on three dancefloors for a dedicated dance-friendly crowd.

Tonight

A wonderful evening of drum'n'bass with Traffic favourites D Bridge (Exit Records, UK).

On the R'n'B floor: Irie MC feat. DJ Kombinate (Socialism, UK) and Systematic & Limbz (Traffic).

On the dubstep floor: All Out Dubstep Kru with L-Wiz (Live) and DJs Gena, Irk and Trickykid.

On the third, mixed-styles, dancefloor: Fun DJ Party Crew with Sexy Janson, Busty-D and John Holk.

Vassa Lördag

Address: Vassa Eggen, Birger Jarlsgatan 29
10pm - 2am
Free entry
Age: 23 and over
Website

Over the last few years Vassa Eggen has gradually begun to take over as the most obvious hangout for the city's pub-going hip-hop and nightclub audience.

Every weekend the bar on the outer edge of the Stureplan area is full to bursting with all the old regulars from Riche/East/Annakhan/Berns/Floras Kulle, who love dancing on the bar to everything from old school hip-hop to Baltimore club, soul, funk, disco and electro.

Among the most frequent DJs are people like DJ Taro, KärleksJohan, A Lowe Thing, Thomas LA, Myggan, Jeppe Körsbär and Hackenbush.
