Jimmie Åkesson, the head of the far-right Sweden Democrats, literally ended up with egg on his face during an election rally in Linköping in central Sweden on Wednesday.

A group of counter-demonstrators disrupted the gathering of Sweden Democrats to such an extent that police were felt forced to detain 18 people.

While there were no reports of any physical injuries, one of the protesters managed to elude police on guard at Linköping’s Lilla torget square and make his way to Åkesson.

The protester then proceeded to press an egg into Åkesson’s face while he was giving a speech.

“It’s frightening that the police can’t protect political figures better than this,” said the head of the Sweden Democrats’ youth wing, Erik Almqvist, in a statement, adding that, “it could just as well have been a knife”.

Police spokesperson Tommy Johansson admitted there had been a temporary lapse in security.

“It was obviously a mistake that it was allowed to happen. It’s something we have to take responsibility for,” he told TT.

“We have spoken with our contact person and apologized for that.”

i hope that person gets some jail time. it is so easy to judge them as racist but they just want to live in a country that does not let in all the refuges that want to come in. i am about to become a us/swed citizen and i will vote for them. i like how finland and norway do the immagration . when sweden has enough money not to layoff nurses and hire more cops then we can take in friendly refuges. esp. more cops in rosegård.

Isn't ignorance BLISS!

It would be even better if Sweden just stopped ALL immigration [note the spelling for future reference Playmaker] because that way there will be no more problems caused by those filthy immigrants.

Crime rates will drop as there will be no rape, sexual assualt, stealing, violence against firefighters or police, bank robberies, etc etc.

Birth rates will also fall substantially as we all know how foreigners breed like rabbits.

There will be no more ghettos.

There will be no more smuggling of drugs that poison Swedish people because we all know its the immigrants that do that.

So STOP ALL IMMIGRATION especially from the US, England, Australia, South Africa, Ireland, New Zealand, and Easter Island.

cheers

Threw an egg to the face?

Isn't it weakness? For both sides...

Btw, Sweden should stop selling guns all around, they can help reducing immigration that way...
11:37 May 21, 2009 by Playmaker
yes ignorance is bliss i agree with you blackdes. thanks for the spelling tip lol. i say ignorance is bliss because finland takes all most no refuges and takes little immigrants you must prove you can provide for yourself and work. same as norway. before i moved here i had an interview and most also prove i have a skill to work and not leach off the govt. i do agree about the crime rates droping esp. in malmo area. and i dont think there will be any ghettos. and the healhcare system and school systm will have more money. and of yeah the firefighter will not need a police escort to go to a swedish area. they are only needed for the muslim areas and that is a fact. good day mate.

Something that those demonstrating and using violence against the Sweden Democrats have no respect for and that is DEMOCRACY! Anyone using violence in any demonstration should be crushed by the police using any means necessary!

Some people just don't get "irony" or "sarcasm" ...

haha so true
16:11 May 21, 2009 by Playmaker
yes i like to type fast and do not care so much for spelling since it is proven that people still understand what you write as you prove by going over every word. you write it like sarcasm but it is so true you just got the countries wrong. the swedish democrates also agree with your sarcasm. you know this egg thing just give them free publistity.

To playmaker;

Are u really from the states? U were an immmigrant there, werent u? For all we know, north america belongs to the great indian tribes. Your ancestors raped, pillaged, grabbed land and almost exterminated the indians. Centuries later, u've acquired residency status in sweden and u dare feel like the "righteous one".

U really think that would solve the problem in sweden? Just like in the States, most minorities in Sweden are just drug peddlers. their customers? The White Swedes. Without the high birthrate the immigrants offer, Sweden cant fill up the age gap that's missing to propel its economy and workforce in the coming 20years, presesnce of immigrants helps to correct the age-old inbreeding that has taken place in many caucasian societies. immigrants are here to take what the whiteman took from their forfathers. Life is a vicious cycle, aint it?

u want to live in an utopian society? Apply for residency in Neptune. They'll be glad to take u!

HAHA to Play maker

If we follow your trend of 'reasoning' (if we can call it that) we should be alarmed. Maybe if according to you immigrants are a negative part of society and leach Sweden's money wouldnt you say then that all immigrants should be subject to an IQ test? Because we all know that stupidity as staggering as yours would HAVE to be rehabilitated by tax payers money. Wouldnt you then be a leach to society?

Also too, people like you shouldnt say that they are from the states...it just perpetuates the generalisation....

For an excellent study on immigration law and attitudes toward so-called multi-ethnic culture take a look at the Japanese. Everyone thinks very highly of the Japanese, their culture, their industry, their martial arts, and the Japanese are world renowned for their super polite manners and EXTREMELY LOW CRIME RATE . Well first, the Japanese are all for helping different countries with all sorts of aid BUT !!( A BIG BUT ) they DO NOT TAKE IN REFUGEES, period. No exceptions. Second, the Japanese will be super nice to tourists, people there temporarily for education or corporate work assignments, ect. The key operative word here is TEMPORARY. The very second you start acting like you want to stay permanently the WHOLE ATMOSPHERE CHANGES. The Japanese will let you know, very politely, in no uncertain terms, that Japan is for Japanese. Has been so for thousands of years and they intend to keep it that way.
