Internet wins advertising battle
Seven out of ten advertisers with plans to increase their advertising spend next year intend to focus more on the internet, according to a new survey.
Pollster Zapera asked members of the Association of Swedish Advertisers about their plans for 2008.
Almost 40 percent of the companies surveyed said they intended increasing the amount of money they spent on advertising.
40 percent expected to increase their media advertising expenditure, while half of advertisers predicted that their media spending would remain at the same level as it was now.
With more resources being committed to the internet, many advertisers said they planned to invest less in newspapers and magazines.
