Woman convicted for seducing Swedish teen

A 28-year-old Swedish woman has been sentenced to six months in prison for having forced a boy under the age of 15 to have sex with her.
The woman was 27 when she on two occasions in August of last year had intercourse with the boy in a small village in Jämtland in western Sweden.
The district court in Östersund said in its ruling that the woman had a family relation with the boy and that she knew he hadn’t yet turned 15, which is the age of consent in Sweden.
The woman was convicted for sexually exploiting a child. According to the court’s ruling, the offence was less serious because the woman seduced the boy two weeks before his fifteenth birthday.
The woman must also pay 30,000 kronor ($3,600) in damages for the indignity to which she subjected the boy.
