Man arrested for filming child rapes

Published: 13 Aug 2011 10:15 GMT+02:00
Updated: 13 Aug 2011 10:15 GMT+02:00

The man, who is unmarried and has no previous criminal record, contacted a 13 year-old girl through an internet forum, explained prosecutor Birgitta Fernlund.

"They then started some form of relationship that led up to this," she said to Arbetarbladet.

Their relationship culminated with the man having sex with the 13 year-old, and allegedly also having filmed several of the rapes.

The girl comes from a town in northern Norrland. This was the location of the first three rapes, the first one occurring this spring.

The last rape occurred some days ago in Gävle.

Several films were made of the girl, and the man also had her pose for sexual pictures several times this spring.

On top of the rape charges against him, the man is also suspected of child pornography crimes, and exploitation of a child for sexual posing.

The man admits to all charges except the rapes, which he feels should be considered sexual exploitation of a child.

well this is a new low . . .

when it comes to the abuse of children, I draw a deep line in the sand. It is a painful thing to even read about.

at least he doesn't deny it which would be hard to do if someone could play a video to the court. Sounds to me like statutory rape, it would be treated as such in most countries, in fact some countries would add both charges of rape and exploitation.

This is a horrible, horrible act.

What a sicko. Unfortunately after being here for so long, and it isn't a money or tax crime so he'll only get maybe 2 years top for it. I hate these kinds of news, since there is no actual justice to these sickos.

as long as people like "NAMBLA" ,who in their mind are trying so hard to legislate these acts, exist we will see it happen now and then.

Why had it been repeatedly three times and had been filmed ?

I would send him to prison. With the rest of the inmates.

And then I will leave them alone for a couple of hours.

Every day.

Rape the children and make porn about them, Abuse the elderly and get a paid holiday, deny ambulance care to people dying, have the taxpayers re-imburse a drug dealer for the amount of illegal street drugs that were stolen from him in a robbery (yes , it really did happen)cut off healthy breasts , misdiagnose cancer, make malpractice mistakes continually and do not investigate even 1 of 3,000 cases over a period of 3 years.........but for GODS sake! Don't rescue a hedgehog or it's jail time for you!!!!!!!!

WELCOME TO SWEDEN EVERYONE......YOU TRY TO MAKE SOME SENSE OF IT,BECAUSE I CAN'T?
12:27 August 13, 2011 by jostein
@jacquelinee

The sense i make of it is a country with the laws and mentality of a homogenous nationstate but with a demographics more akin to the US. The elites of sweden are quite thick with the powers of perception akin to a blind hen in a black box but eventually this will level out and we will get a harder version of the US justicesystem and a society where we make deals with an army of lawyers instead of a handshake and where each group stick to their own.

The only thing I can add to your comment is,

LET'S BURN HIS BALLS!

You are right, completely right, Jacqueline. So right, that even @Jostein had to agree with you by writing a damn good comment.

I have said it ovr and over again: In which country did you think you live?

After more than 25 years of living in Sweden, this story is not a surprise to me. Not at all.

The bastard will get a two year sentence, if he ever gets one, and then, back to business again with the blessing of the authorities who might even buy him a new camera.

@TO EVERYBODY

It seems that no one in this thread has really analyzed the background of men raping children.

The problem with jerks like this man, will never disappear, simply because children and their predators have access to hundreds and hundreds of chat rooms (socializing web sites) in the world. Hundreds of them are located in Sweden, where some millions (I did not find the statistics, but still searching) of children chat every damn day, interchanging ideas, photos, talking about their sexual experiences and whatever you want to think about.

We will never get rid of predators, as long as there is a market for them. And this, dear TL contributors, is THE NAKED TRUTH.

The already disappeared LUNARSTORM, had 1.2 million members back in 2007, of whom some 70% were 12-17 years old.

TWITTER, with 200 million users as of 2011, generating over 200 million tweets and handling over 1.6 billion search queries per day. It is sometimes described as the "SMS" of the Internet.

Some eye-openers number from www.netlingo.com for all of you in this thread:

95% of parents don't recognize the lingo kids use to let people know that their parents are watching

89% of sexual solicitations are made in either chat rooms or Instant Messages

20% of children age 10-17 have been solicited sexually online; that's 1 out of every 5 kids

75% of youth who received an online sexual solicitation did not tell a parent

One third of kids have been contacted by a stranger and half of these were considered inappropriate

81% of parents of online youth say that kids aren't careful enough when giving out information about themselves online

76% of parents don't have rules about what their kids can do on the computer

65% of parents believe that kids do things online that they wouldn't want their parents to know about

4,000,000 children are posting content to the Web everyday

15,000,000 youth use Instant Messaging

9 out of 10 parents will never know that any inappropriate contact has occurred

14% have actually met face to face with a person they have met on the Internet

1 out of 17 kids have been harassed, threatened, or bullied

61% of 13-17 yr olds have a personal profile on social networking sites

44% of online teens with profiles like Facebook and Myspace have been contacted by a stranger, compared with 16 percent of those without profiles.

71% have reported receiving messages from someone they do not know

45% have been asked for personal info from people they do not know

48% of 16-17 yr olds report that their parents know "very little" or "nothing" about their online activities

MySpace deletes 25,000 profiles weekly of users who don't meet the site's 14-year-old minimum age requirement

From 2007-2009 MySpace has deleted 90,000 accounts because they were created by registered sex offenders

19:20 August 13, 2011 by jacquelinee
@ streja

Yes Streja. I have seen Swedish investigations of nurses. Give them 2 months off work with full pay, then put them back in the same job. Then when there is public outcry, take them out for another fully paid holliday/ suspension, then make a statement that the descision has been made not to prosecute and that it is beyond the means of the "Minister Of Health And Welfare For Children And The Elderly" of Sweden to have them fired, so they are yet again reinstated in the same job, in the same place, to further abuse. THAT is how they are investigated in Sweden. OPEN YOUR EYES SWEETY!

The man must be a sicko. And should be shot and put out of his misery.

But I don't understand why the girl would go along with it. It almost sounds like she was a willing participant, at least to some degree.

Why would a 13 year old girl want to have sex, let alone with a 34 year old man?
05:57 August 14, 2011 by xexon
I find it interesting that you would watch native girls on something like the National Geographic channel having her first mensus and then getting married off, and you don't raise an eybrow about it.

But when it's a white girl or one of you own kind having sex, you howl like a lynch mob. Especially interesting coming from a country that used to have a thriving kiddy porn industry. Remember the 70's?

While it may not be politically correct in this day and age, many of your own ancestors took brides at 12 and 13. Cause that's just the way it was. People didn't live that long back then and you had to start early. Childhood ended with sexual maturity. Still does in many countries.

Kids start to develop sexuality around age 8 in most cases. You can't sweep that under the rug no matter how many legal or religious laws you pass against it. Kids get horny just like adults. And they court attention from the opposite sex as a result. The real danger is they don't understand the risks or the rituals we place around it.

That, is not their fault. It's your's. The immature attitudes you've displayed in your comments are not helping them one bit.

Time to grow up and handle this in a more realistic fashion.

05:57 August 14, 2011 by xexon

Your comment is quite interesting, but you are missing the point.

We are talking about a man luring a 12 year-old girl and rapes her and films his action.

What you wrote is quite well known, by me, at least, but enither of the examples you give have been raped and filmed.

Why should we raise an eyebrow while watching in National Geographic native girls having her first mensus and then getting married off? Besides, how can be sure that no one raises an eyebrow?

You make me wonder if you are not a buddy of the man of the story. Just wondering. .
12:45 August 14, 2011 by bolababu
Sick man, not unusual though in this part of the world.

Quite interestingly, for the first time on the local, with this many comments and the kind of people making them, no one has brought into question the nationality of the perpetrator. I really find that interesting.

Because flashback doesnt know yet? The only nationality-statement on flashback is "doesnt look like a newswede crimetype". Also, the interest is not so great since this was not forced. A girl coming into her sexuality and a middle aged man abusing that. You know, age-old story.
15:35 August 14, 2011 by xexon
Define rape.

While it may be legally classified as rape, we also have that old saying " you can't rape the willing".

Near as we know, she was willing. It was consentual. And 13 is not too young to have sex despite what your sunday school teacher says. Not physically anyway. Happens all the time. Only legally is it forbidden in most countries. And much of that is a product of Christian religious belief instead of human psychology.

Human psychology says mate with the youngest and strongest. An instinct.

Had this been a forced rape with violence involved, I can see a crime. But in this instance, the only real crime is society having it's ego bruised. Society will now call the girl a victim, and it she gets to where she believes it, she will develop a victim's mentality. Which includes things like depression and even suicide. It creates an inner conflict where one didn't exist before.

So who has damaged her more? I'm not saying the man shouldn't be punished. But you can't gloss over the fact that she didn't say no.

I can see that Flashback is the Swedish bible

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

The Flashback, the Flashback, Hallelujah!

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Hallelujah! The Flashback! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

For the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

The kingdom of this world

Is become the kingdom of the Flashback

And of His Jostein, and of His Jostein.

And both shall reign for ever and ever

Georg Friedrich Händel.
17:22 August 14, 2011 by jostein
Well, Flashback is generally where names of suspected criminals are published first in sweden. And other rumours and speculations. So, if a name or description has not been posted on flashback its a safe bet the nationality or origin or identity of a suspected criminal is not yet known to the general public. Which would explain why it was not discussed in this case, yet.

Apologies to Belmar if I was a bit vague about this in my first post. Just ask when this happens and i will speak more slowly and make my argument more step by step so that noone feels frustrated or left behind.

17:22 August 14, 2011 by jostein

I did not know that we could speak in the threads. Did you downloaded a special software for doing this?

And now, Jostein, I leave you in a perennial peace. RIP for me.

For your happiness, I take a perennial time out. I am sick and tired of having to "argue" with you, Prince T, Canuk, Che Guevara and other "kompisar" you have in the front line.
