Lars Vilks on Al-Qaeda 'wanted dead or alive' list

Lars Vilks on Al-Qaeda 'wanted dead or alive' list

Published: 03 Mar 2013 08:32 GMT+01:00
Updated: 03 Mar 2013 08:32 GMT+01:00

Vilks is one of eleven targets named in an English language pamphlet published on several militant websites by AQAP - Al-Qaeda's branch in the Arabian peninsula.

American pastor Terry Jones, writer Salman Rushdie, Dutch politician Geert Wilders and Danish artist Kurt Westergaard were others mentioned.

The targets are listed with name and photo in a two page spread entitled "Yes we can. A bullet a day keeps the infidel away" and shows a mock up of Terry Jones being shot in the head.

The pamphlet, published under the name Inspire Magazine, also called on French troops to leave Mali and gives advice on how to ignite a car.

The magazine has been in circulation since July 2010 and typically includes tips on how to carry out various terrorist activities and attacks.

Lars Vilks has faced numerous death threats and a suspected assassination plot since his drawing of the Muslim prophet with the body of a dog was first published by Swedish regional daily Nerikes Allehanda in 2007.

It illustrated an editorial on the importance of freedom of expression.

The drawing by Vilks prompted protests by Muslims in the town of Örebro, west of Stockholm, where the newspaper is based.

Egypt, Iran and Pakistan also made formal complaints about the drawing.

I find it interesting that the media does not cover with the same veracity the manner in which right-wing nationalist groups call for the killing of Arabs. Or am I mistaken in my understanding that it happens to an equal degree?

Here we go again. Not a week passes without some news about Vilks. I´m sure he loves that no matter what kind. Today`s news comes from the self proclaimed saviours of Islam.

So who are not on the al-qaeda's list? You stupid infidels, you all on their list, and yet, you act like you all are immune, that's why you importing them in everyday right?

@#1, hey morun, do you really think that the media here is friendly to the right-wing nationalists? Which arab country they imported you anyway? We have a morun here that tries to defend the al-qaeda and that's ok with you right the local?
13:02 March 3, 2013 by StockholmSam
@flyingtiger

Obviously, you cannot help your id0cy so I will just assume that it is a medicated condition of some sort.

No, I do not think the media is friendly to the right. I suspect, however, that the mainstream media's target market is more easily enticed to purchase papers or click on stories that portend death and destruction at the hands of the dark hordes amassing on Sweden's borders. A quick Google search will show you the intensity with which nationalist movements are calling for a race war as well as a significant number of race-based hate crimes committed by the right that I suspect is equal in number to those committed by the Islamic terrorist. My question is why is one given more airtime than the other? I wonder if there is more fear of one than the other among natives and why.
13:31 March 3, 2013 by flyintiger
Islam is not a race morun! Who what when where, the race crimes that committed by right-wing nationalists, give us some examples here morun, don't effing bark at nowhere ok? Efing right-wing this right-wing that, but if they were half as bad as your friends the Al-qaedas, then you and your minions are all disappeared already, got that?
13:43 March 3, 2013 by Svensksmith
It's moron, you moron.
13:59 March 3, 2013 by flyintiger
I know that moron, but I don't want to give the fair press called "the local" an excuse to erase my comment, got that morun? I assume you know what ef u instead of fu means right? That's for you morun!

Islam...they do not want anybody to say anything about that religion. Why come to Europe in the first place. Mulims are enoying infidels facilities and living on their social system. Simple draw jesus christ and burn the bible. Afterall salvation is personal. Learn to criticize other religion and not kill. The future of Europe ....in danger
15:07 March 3, 2013 by flyintiger
@#9, that's why the right-wingers are on the rise, we might need them in the future to taking out the tr...es, just like the Golden Dawn in greece, they have been a little rough, but the streets of Athen are much more safer now...the children can now play in public squares, the old people don't get muggs and robs very often and women don't get rape a lot anymore...all thanks to the GD actions. Law and order will come to europe soon or later that is a self evident that we can believe in.

@flyingtiger #6

If you think a non-muslim Arab escapes the "them" label or the terrorist stigma in Swedish society, you're nuts. You cannot separate the race issue from the Islam issue. They are two sides of the same coin. You ever hear about Nazi skinheads selecting only the Muslims in the minority communities for eradication? Do you think they are going around saying, "scuse me mr. darkie, but are you Muslim or Christian?" before deciding whether or not to stick a steel-toed boot in the poor fella's back?

I am not an Islam sympathizer. I am a westerner. But neither am I ignorant to the dynamics of hate. You are obviously a simple, run-of-the-mill racist. You like to scream and get aggressive, but you sure don't say much that makes any sense.
20:04 March 3, 2013 by Svensksmith
Is is their race that propels them to violence or their religion?
20:35 March 3, 2013 by RobinHood
Being called a moron by someone who can't spell moron is a singular honor. Congratulations Stockholm Sam and Svensksmith.

@Flyintiger

You have even misspelled your own name. It's flying - with a G. Also, countries and continents get a capital letter, so does the Local. And Athens ends with an S.

I'm afraid you only get an F for trollery. Please try harder, you don't want us to think you are a flyin morun. Do you?
20:37 March 3, 2013 by engagebrain
Svensksmith

asked

'Is is their race that propels them to violence or their religion?'

Religion - only religion or an equivalent unchallengeable belief can make decent people act indecently.
20:48 March 3, 2013 by flyintiger
Hey morun stocksam, Just effing show me a case where the a muslim got his behind kicked by the right-wight nationalists, ok aho? Now, I don't say that race crimes don't exist, because they do. But on the other hand, I can show you a millions cases that the swedes got their behinds kicked, robbed, raped and even killed by your effing beloved mus...but you and your effing liberal minions always try to hide that facts right? Explain to me why 90% of the rapists that in prison right now are none swedes? And take a effing wild guess what their religion is? Oh while you at it, check out the statistics of other countries too, ok aho? Effing morun white tr..sh!

Lars Vilks is a Swedish citizen and he was preaching what Swedish Socities

this citizen's right if Lars Vilks is being harmed then what is freedom of speech

and arts are then ?

a long time ago a guy rights a big of fiction, everyone thinks he's cool, many years later another guy writes or draws some fiction. He then becomes the bad guy. Comical really in a supposedly modern and enlightened world, that we want to kill people, purely based on ficticious documents. The world really hasn't moved very far from the dark ages yet.

That's the problem with the polar trashes today, they just can't tell the difference between friends and foes anymore. The left polars and the white polars are going at it, taking on each other, destroying each other and the scums are benefiting from it.

Violence, death and hate is the cornerstone of their sick ideology.
