School photographer fired for homophobic slur
A photographer at a high school in southern Sweden was sacked after he called one of the students a "fag" during a shoot.
The photographer said to one of the students: "Fag number one, you can stand here," reported the Helsingborgs Dagbladet newspaper. While the boy called home to tell his parents, the school's principal was also alerted. "The photographer's comments demanded an immediate response," the principal told the paper. The photographer, who took school pictures and taught photography at the school. was told to leave the school grounds and was fired the same day.
