On Friday morning, a father and his daughter discovered an unpleasant Midsummer surprise at the entry of a police station in Helsingborg when they found two pigs, apparently slumbering.

“I was walking the dog together with my daughter,” the man told local media.

“Suddenly she said: ‘Look, daddy! The pigs are sleeping!’”

But the swine weren’t sleeping. They were actually frozen carcasses weighing ten kilograms each. Police do not yet know who put the dead pigs outside of the station or what the motivation might be.

“The people who did this are sick,” Thorsten Persson, commander at the Helsingborg police, told Sydsvenskan newspaper.

So let me get this straight someone put some dead pigs outside of a police station and the police do not 'know what the motivation might be'?

I bet treal criminals are quaking in their boots after seeing such an impressive display of police detective work.

Par for the course.

They are certainly not renowned for their IQ levels.

Seems like a waste of good meat to me.

I would have eaten them.

I guess they wanted to scare them with pigs, PIGS became very dangerous than terrorists hahahaha
23:53 June 20, 2009 by Puffin
Will the pigs be prosecuted for insulting the police?
07:03 June 21, 2009 by jimmyjames
If these pigs were killed or allowed to freeze to death just to make some asinine political statement the individuals responsible should be arrested and charged with animal cruelty. If your going to butcher and eat a pig or cow or chicken that is one thing but to kill just to kill or play a practical joke or make some political point that is pathetic, dastardly, despicable and criminal.

I think you would be surprised. I don't know about the Swedish police, but many police in the UK are graduates, and even have post-graduate qualifications, including doctorates!

Agreed,quite a difference.

"Pigs outside a police station and police dont know what the motivation may be"

Sound like post graduate qualifications or maybe post playschool?

im not fond of governments and what they do but i certainly like pigs and i think anyone that hurts them or any other animal for ANY reason should get the shite kicked out of em and the same thing done to them afterward.
12:39 June 22, 2009 by jack sprat
Who knows, they may have been killed just as humanely as those on the shelves of the supermarkets.

Anyway the cops should appreciate it.

A few pork chops should give them a nice change from that takeaway junkfood they normally seem to eat.

Actually as I see it someone must really be fuming at the police there for doing their job to have gone to such lengths... but, poor pigs..
20:06 June 22, 2009 by jack sprat
....or not doing their job,... as the case may be?
