The discovery of a blog about naked children and life as an employee at a Stockholm preschool has led city officials to take action.

All preschools in Stockholm have been notified and the blog has been reported to the police.

Stockholm city educational director Thomas Persson received an email from a concerned citized who informed him about the existence of the blog, Dagens Nyheter reports.

Persson in turn notified his colleagues and all of the preschools in Stockholm about the blog.

The author of the blog identified himself a paedophile and wrote that he works at a preschool.

“When you read the blog it's clear that it is about a preschool in Stockholm,” Carina Lundberg Uudelepp, deputy director of the City of Stockholm, told Aftonbladet.

Although it is difficult to know how much of the blog is true, officials are taking it seriously. Aftonbladet reported that content of the blog was deemed believable by school officials, who say it is likely the author works or has previously worked at an actual preschool.

It is also assumed that the man is blogging under a false name, and authorities hope to discover his true identity.

good grief. What's amazing is that he's apparently been writing this blog for 2 years! It's not hard to monitor for things like this, I'm surprised the police are not doing it. It looks like it's also a wordpress hosted blog, so should be easy to get his IP address from them and track him down through his ISP.

Where is the professionalism in early childhood teaching for this man, if he is really a pre-school teacher or used to be? Ethics is such a big thing in early childhood and any education sectors.
16:31 August 6, 2009 by laydeecm
You teach at a pre-school, you are having such a great job and huge responsibilities for these children. Doesn't matter if it's facebook or blog or any other medias out there. Pre-school teachers can not and shouldn't put anything at all relate to children at their work out in the public.

I hope he will be behind the bars soon. His sits hosts company is Swedish.

It is shocking to read the content anyways.

In some senses I would like to see the blog just to make sure I don't recognize any clues which may help, but on the other hand I don't want to look at that type of material or even remotely tarred by asking for the URL.

We live in very odd times.

i dont get it... they can get someone for downloading too much music but they can't catch a pedophile blogger?

come on, seriously? are they remembering "freedom of speech" all of a sudden or is it just that there isn't enough money in this to get them going?
18:14 August 6, 2009 by Playmaker
hey here is a idea. hire more police for these crimes. need more money well here is another idea STOP PAYING FOR REFUGEES
19:05 August 6, 2009 by Keith #5083
Hey,Playmaker, here's a better idea - fund 'internet police' with a SeK 20 kr per month charge on every 'internet customer account' then we all have equality. Oh, and please remember that those 'refugees' you seem to love so much will probably be funding your pension (assuming you are 'a Swede') and were invited here.! Unless of course by refugees you mean those from war torn areas that are starving, homeless, jobless in which case your comment is as depraved as the pedo reported in this article.

Technically all staff at preschools are paedophiles

from the greek

paed = pre pubescent child

and

philia = beloved (familial love, take good care type love)

the word we are supposed to use is

paedoerist or sexual love for prepubescent children derived from erotic

if the child is post pubescent then paed is replaced by hebee

or ephiberist and ephibiphile

well I don't know it just gets on my goat to see the wrong words used sorry!

yeah not sure how good my spelling is. you get the idea though!
