A female cyclist in central Sweden was assaulted on Sunday night by two men, one of whom left bite marks on her left arm.

The 18-year-old woman was riding along a bike path in Motala in central Sweden when she was attacked at 2am on Sunday night by two men in dark clothes, reported MVT newspaper.

“One of them bit her on her lower left arm and they also pulled her hair. She had clear bite marks on her arm,” Christer Pettersson of the Motala police told TT news agency.

The woman went into shock and has foggy recollections of what happened next, although she didn't recognize either of her assailants.

Authorities don't consider the attack to be an attempted rape.

“Nothing indicates (it was attempted rape), and we are looking at it as an assault,” Pettersson said.

Two men in dark clothes? Is that all? Can't we have a more specific description?

Or it could harm community cohesion...?

Yes, life has changed for the people of Sweden, no more cycling for young ladies outside of curfew hours!!! Very sad to see such a decline in decency and values. Very strange for the police to try to water things down, makes me think that it was indeed another ham handed attempt to try to reassure the communities...no doubt wearing their social worker hat, instead of trying to apprehend the villains. The toothless police would appear to be part of the problem these days.

now, we're clueless about the identity of those attackers and i see in some comments "they must have been people of color" by saying"community cohesion" don't get confused. it does not say immigrants it implies people of color. it could be brown, black anything but white.

i got a question for ya: have you ever given a damn second thinking how harmful it is to judge folks on their color? excesume me but did you have a chance talking to God or whoever who is responsible for that to say which color you want to possess?

I see no such thing in the comments.

What I see reported are two attackers in dark clothing.

What are the names of the attackers, and where are their photos? Nothing was stated in the article about a police investigation, so will there be an investigation and should the actors be caught, will their names and photos be shown?

I fully agree with "double concerto."

there's no doubt of changing the situation. like my friend told me once

around 15 years ago, bike stealing began and it was totally weird and unacceptable those days, now though it's all normal!

but what "antoniolgy" says as "society cohesion" is questionable. maybe i read too much into some stuff these days, so tell me what do you infer by that expression.
