Your comments about this article:
and swapping a few MP3 files online will get you 2 years in the pen under the IPRED laws, gotta love the priorities here.
So I guess its not at all the question that she successfully abused the generousity of others with deep pockets who are keen to help.
The keyword is "keen to help" which is more than I could say for you or the non-Swedes at large.
Wow - you are a sucker for punishment, however, I do have to credit you for the creation of a new euphemism "keen to help", to describe egregious stupidity.
Some interesting examples of @Thebinary1's new euphemism:
1. When arrested by police for driving while 4 times over the legal limit - "officer, I was just keen to help Systembolaget with alcohol sales".
2. When your wife discovers you have been shagging the secretary (for the feminist pornographers out there, please note that I have no specified the gender of the secretary!) - "darling I was just keen to help my secretary discover their inner self"
3. When your boss discovers you have been downloading internet porn at work - "Boss, I was just keen to help support this poor website called XXXformen.com"
4. When you get caught by the cops soliciting a prostitute - "sorry officer, but I was just keen to help the national GDP"
etc. etc.
I gotta get one of these scams going ;-)
They very well could have flown to Los Angeles and paid to shag many playboy models and pornstars and still have money left in their pockets. Instead of hoping to be with this supposed woman. She very well could have been a man from Lagos scamming them!
Why is it that you guys focused on the 'pornstar' bit and not on the bit which says:
"The previous incidents involved the woman asking the men she met online for money, regaling them with tall tales of a fictional daughter who was suffering from leukemia."
Which cooked-up-story do you think generated the most revenue?
The length of sentence is I suppose dictated to some extent by laws. And this is where I miss some useful information in this article: what is the possible range of sentence length for this crime?
