I decided to do what Roger did. Though I am 34 and just over 100kgs so a lot more unfit than him.
I have messed about too often in the gym and decided on a SATS fitness trainer. She is excellent. OK only had two sessions but I ache in places I didnt know I had. I feel that my workout is far more effective now under the watchful eye of the PT. Yeah its embarassing but when I get down to 85 or 90 kilos it will be worth it.
My goal is to run and get back to refereeing football and although the Personal Trainer is expensive so far its really worth it.
