... but the problem was a political/economic one in that Malmö would have been effectively bypassed by high speed traffic between Sweden and the rest of Europe ... hence the chosen location for the current bridge
Maybe now that the Öresund bridge has been built and that the Malmö Citytunnel project is just a couple of years from completion ... the time has come for an HH tunnel!!!
The channel tunnel might actually make some money one day or has it now not sure.Apart from the problem of a fire in it a while ago seems safe.I must admit i prefer the boat going over.
We do have a problem of people from outside the E.U hanging about in towns on the French side.Trying to get in to Britain while most of us want to get out!Cant think why.
Trouble is partly the French goverment and ours for being soft.

From what the world is reading about Malmo these days, it's a place you'd want to bypass.
Seriously, I think it could be great and is hopefully less wind sensitive than the bridge
Otherwise the idea of this project seems to be fine.
