The makers of a new marital aid that has gone on sale in Sweden have said that their dildo is the most environmentally-friendly on the market.

Made from recycled plastic and metal, "Earth Angel" is charged by turning the specially adapted key in its base. Four minutes of hand-turning is said to give 30 minutes of intense vibrations - saving money on new batteries.

And the good news for environmentalists is that "Earth Angel" has now reached Sweden.

Anna Sundström at erotic store Afrodites Apotek in Stockholm believes that it will be a big hit. "Many of our customers are environmentally conscious and often say 'no' to a plastic bag. It saves the environment when you don't use batteries," she said to Expressen.

The only downside to the Irish-made sex toy is the price tag. At 1,050 kronor ($153), it costs twice as much as a normal dildo. But, as it's self-charging, there's no need to buy expensive replacement batteries.

I wonder if there is a correlation between the increase in produce sales and the continued feminizing of the Swedish male.

I keep thinking that "men" are a greener technology than this new dildo....

He does not need batteries (maybe food and a lil of love) and can be life-lasting.

Now you know whay Swedish women prefer foreign born men. They really know how to give it to them. Swedish men are too busy trying to breastfeed their babies forcing their women to find comfort in a recicled material dildo.

I'm disappointed in the acceptance of this obviously NOT green product. It can't be as eco friendly as organically grown options all of which are easily recycled, re-used for other purposes and very easily replaced. The produce section of the local market abound with green alternatives. Likewise pubs, bars, social clubs, churches, workplace, the list is endless.

PS Ever look at a map of Newfoundland? Two names seem appropriate to this "discussion": DILDO & Come-by-Chance! Hoo Haa! Match that Sweden!

An enviromentally friendly orgasm. I thought that was what sex was anyway.

At least they are making 'MADE IN IRELAND', mean something again. All people from Ireland can be proud of that one:)

I do not get the part about Earth-friendly organisms. Aren't all organisms created on the Earth "Earth-friendly organisms"?
