A 20 year-old man with HIV from Linköping has been remanded in custody for having unprotected sex with a 15-year-old girl.

The man has previously been imprisoned for having intercourse with seven woman who were not aware he was infected.

The pair had sex with mutual consent on September 11 but the man did not inform the girl he had the HIV virus, nor did they use a condom.

He told the girl of his condition sometime after they had been intimate.

”He admits what he has done,” prosecutor Britt-Louise Viklund told the Östgöta Correspondenten newspaper. ”He blames the fact he was under the influence of alcohol.”

The girl has since taken a HIV test but must wait three months until final results show whether she has been infected or not.

In January 2008 the man was sentenced to two years imprisonment for having unprotected sex with seven women between the ages of 17 and 25.

None of these women were infected and he was forced to pay 40,000 Swedish crowns in damages to each of them.

He was released early in January this year, eight months before his sentence was complete.

And once again, the legal apparatus infested by the Lefties and Goodies just as politics and media, like civil services and most of any kind of organization, is risking that a kid is potentially killed rather than having the potential killer to be appropriately convicted and serving his full sentence.

Well, what do you expect from the land of the breast feeding men.
12:03 September 19, 2009 by Tennin
I expect his sentencing this time will be only 6 months, and he'll be released early for good behaviour.
12:26 September 19, 2009 by Russ Cobleigh
sounds like a case for chemical castration!
12:40 September 19, 2009 by Renfeh Hguh
Time for a big tattoo on his forehead!
15:22 September 19, 2009 by Kaethar
The tattoo sounds like a semi-good idea!

It's a difficult case... he seems to be a compulsive liar. Or he only lies when drunk. He did admit his crime later though knowing he would be sentenced for it. So it's not like he's the devil. Plus he's young and he himself has HIV, which is very sad.

Since he seems to feel regret hopefully he'll ask to be chemically castrated himself since it's a bit of a tough call for a court to make. It would be a good option for him though especially considering the fact that he doesn't have a long life ahead of him. Instead of jail he should choose the castration, plain and simple.
00:56 September 20, 2009 by jose_s
Battery acid would be more appropriate.. let him burn away slowly, just like he'd expect those girls to die from HIV. When are people here going to do something about the court systems? This guys should have never gotten out......
01:43 September 20, 2009 by Investor612
Even without the AIDS issue, a 20 year old who has sex with a 15 year old should be in jail.
03:30 September 20, 2009 by osok
Good thing the legal system priority is kissing the Americans asses to shut down the PirateBay rather than protecting the people from asshats like this.
04:20 September 20, 2009 by RoyceD
I would deffinately say that this guy needs to be made an example of. If they take a poor single mother to court for downloading some movies then this guy should be drawn and quarterd for not only the first 7 but then this one also.

It seems to me that our "jail as a punishment" does not work in all cases. The guy went to jail once for this crime, and has already re offended. Jail time does mean the problem gets solved, and in the MAJORITY of cases it gets worse.

I'm all for sending this guy to Rwanda or similar to be vorced to give help to people there who have are born with AIDS. Send him there for life. Surely that is better than paying for him to be sheltered in a cell, feed three good meals a day, with gym, education and internet freely available.

MAKE THE PUNISHMENT FIT THE CRIME!

He has sex with women, while deliberately risking giving them a leathal disease.

He had sex with a 15 year old girl.

He is trying to kill women and is obviously a paedohile.

He needs to be put in jail as it is not safe to allow him on the streets.

If any of these women gets HIV from him. He needs to be tried for murder.

Alcohol is no excuse. How many woman have heard there husbands say they beat them up because they were drunk and it won't happen again. He intended to do this.

AIDS is a slow lingering, very painful death. This is a calculated act by a murderer who by rights, should have the same inflicted upon him.

Make no mistake, he intends to kill these women. That is his intent.

whats his name? where is his picture? where does he live? where does he work? a girl just might want to know these things huh?

When will Sweden protect it's children .. a 15 year old exposed to a known HIV carrier who has a pattern of unprotected sex who should be in prison. Now the report in today's paper that six percent of young girls have been raped perhaps every year .. and 33% harassed.
12:24 September 20, 2009 by Beynch
Would it be possible to obtain some more biographical detail other than just `a 20-year old with HIV`? Thank you
12:50 September 20, 2009 by DamnImmigrant
Typhoid Mary, was a perfect example of what should be done with this person!

For the public good, after his prison sentence, you lock him up in a SECURE medical physicality! You make him comfortable there until he is either dead or there is a cure for his disease!

The PUBLIC must be protected! His rights DO NOT supersede the PUBLIC'S rights!

Chemically castrated only works while you take the drug!

When the names and faces of these perps are published in the Swedish press we may get results!

A LARGE tattoo in the middle of his forehead sounds good!!
03:30 September 21, 2009 by caitlinnor
Wow- what is the age of consent in Sweden? Where on earth are the parents of this girl? Why aren't they teaching her to use a condom?? Yes, we can blame the court system, but isn't there also some room to expect parents to be more aware of what their children are doing?
08:06 September 21, 2009 by jonathanjames61
None of your comments realy provide a solution, this is the solution,we should ask this young man how he got this illness this may be a part of a revenge plan,if so he should be reminded in a phycriatic hospital for treatment, some Hiv patients dont get it right,if not revenge, them he is still mentaly sick trying to spread this illness,Now for the young girl, hope she learned her lesson, swede pretend a lot, that there is notting happening in there sociiety, just like some states claims that is a pure society free from prostitution, but its wrong, a lot is happening if a 12 to 15 years starts having sex, this is wrong, swedes being very, very, shy society and socially handicap should wake up to this fact, that this kids need to be told that its wrong, they are kids, not women, for the women, they shouldjust take their time in doing what they know doing.

I lived in Brazil for more than 20 years. Unless the law has changed in the meantime, there if someone who knows they have HIV has unprotected sex they are charged with attempted murder. If the person actually becomes infected, it changes to murder in the first degree, what they call "qualified homicide".

Murder is murder. Whether you do it in a few seconds or take 10 years...
12:24 September 21, 2009 by RoyceD
@ Karex, I think you'll find that someone also has to be dead for someone to be charged with murder.

I still think sending him to work at an hospital that cares for AIDS and HIV patients is the best solution. Why not make him work for the public rather than setting him up in a 1 star hotel?
13:14 September 21, 2009 by ukgal28
@ RoyceD infecting someone knowingly with HIV, which ultimately leads to AIDS and then death is the same as killing them, the freedom of their life is over as they know it. It is murder.

The guy should have his thing cut off.... and perhaps a little restraint from girls keeping their legs closed too, although I don't restrict that comment to one particular country.
17:26 September 21, 2009 by ironman294
Swedish laws are a joke as everyone who reads this website can agree.

In the US anyone HIV positive having unprotected sex with a partner is charged with attempted murder and goes to jail for 15 yrs to life for each case.

This guy was let out after only 16 months of so.

This poor kid 15 is a kid, when I talk to swedes and other europeans they think 15 is fine and old enough. Being 20 someone who is 15 isnt that much younger but it is wrong, even just those 5 yrs is leaps and bounds in terms of maturity.

The age of consent should be raised around the world to 18.

Plus Sweden needs to keep murderers in jail for life. Now the girl will have to sweat it out for 3 months. The Swedish health board should advertize this to all the high schoolers out there.

By the way why arent they using a condom, i dont care if you are drunk, I wouldnt want to cath any STD's. Obviously the guy wanted to pass on his death sentence.
20:00 September 21, 2009 by trinaican
How come the usual suspects (directed to Erwin Mahnke et al.) arent saying this is the work of an immigrant...I thought anything bad in Sweden was the fault of the immigrants?

and he is a rapist too (had sex with a 15yr old)??? Where is the lynchies saying its a muslim

You guys are idiots

But on a more serious note

the public should be informed about this man. There is a website in the states for instance which registers sex offenders..and when a sex offender moves into a new neighbourhood..he MUST inform his neighbours that he is a sex offender....that could be a good way of dealing with it

and also too...a highly generalized comment about Sweden as a society...these people DONT USE CONDOMS.....seriously (yup..have first hand experience...a Swedish guy I was about to do the deed with for the first time couldnt get it up because I insisted that he wear..GASP...a condom..looked at me like an alien/..really funny)

USE A CONDOM

USE A CONDOM

it aint too hard
20:15 September 21, 2009 by benomax
Lets forget about this guy, let him face the music. The most important thing is that HIV is real and every body should USE CONDOM to prevent the spread of the disease. People should also go for HIV test to prevent further spread of the virus.

My aunt has been known to say: "Ta seden dit man kommer "and you people must think you're in Iran. You sound like a mob, carrying torches and waiting to assault anyone you see; you ought to move to Iran, where people like you belong.

Sweden won't publish names, or pictures of the accused, because that's exactly how to screw up justice and fairness under the law. In my time I can only recall pictures being published once, with names and ages attached, in the mid 1990s, of Neo-Nazis. It was extremely controversial.

Swedes are less apt to wear condoms than perhaps they ought to, although HIV is also much less common than compared even to other European countries. That said there are in fact laws on the books to remand into custody someone who engages in unprotected sex when they are aware that they pose a risk. These laws are actually something Sweden gets dinged for in the international community because it raises a spectre of the past that is uncomfortable in many countries that have much greater individualistic tendencies. The law is under Smittskyddslagen, and perhaps may be applied in this case.

"Erwin Mahnke" sounds kinda foreign to me... I mean w doesn't even belong in the Swedish alphabet, except as the first letter in proper names.
05:18 September 22, 2009 by copp3rred
Comment: In the US anyone HIV positive having unprotected sex with a partner is charged with attempted murder and goes to jail for 15 yrs to life for each case.

Bullshit. There are a number of cases winding their way through the courts but there is neither a federal law nor a consensus among the states or the population as to how to address this legislatively nor is there some automatic prosecution. Your knowledge of American jurisprudence is clearly minimal.
09:04 September 22, 2009 by trinaican
I like Swedish culture in the sense that people are comparatively sexually liberated and look at sex in a mature way. Though Sweden still has one of the lowest incidences of AIDS in Europe..the continued culture of not using a CONDOM is going to quickly cause that percentage to rise.

I understand the point of copp3rred ,,,Sweden does indeed have a different way of doing things which is to be respected...and it does sound kinda torchy...mobbish...blah blah when ppl comment that his forhead be tattoed or chemical castration etc

What I dont like is the comparison to Iran...unneccessary...and borderline racist...what does Iran have to do with this discussion is beyond me..phew (this is the systematic mainstreaming of these little racist comments that Im wary of...needs ot stop)

and in this current legal framework I feel as if the rights of the criminal is given more respect than the rights of the victim.

Someone tried to kill someone...thats what intentionally having unprotected sex when you are HIV positive is...thats attempted murder.

one year will not suffice...cannot suffice...mater of fact..should he really be in jail?well in a conventional jail? he needs some kind of psychiatric evaluation and help...

and if he really insists on having unprotected sex when he is in the public..Im sorry...but he needs ot be stopped...do you have any ideas of how to stop him from infecting innocent victims?
