Bosnian Serb war criminal Biljana Plavsic is to be released from a Swedish prison later this month after serving two thirds of an 11-year-sentence.

Plavsic, 79, was sentenced in February 2003 to 11-years behind bars after she admitted playing a leading role in a campaign of persecution against Croats and Muslims during Bosnia's 1992-95 war.

She is the highest ranking official of the former Yugoslavia to have acknowledged responsibility for atrocities committed in the Balkan wars of the 1990s.

"The International Criminal Tribunal for Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has in a decision on September 14th 2009 consented to the conditional release of Mrs Plavsic in accordance with Swedish law," the justice ministry said.

"She is to be released on 27 October 2009."

The ICTY cited the good behaviour and apparent rehabilitation of the woman once dubbed the Bosnian Serb "Iron Lady".

Under Swedish law, she becomes eligible for release from October 27, after serving two-thirds of her term.

Sweden's TT news agency said Plavsic has been moved to a prison in the centre of Stockholm ahead of her release. She has been serving her sentence at a women's prison west of the capital.

Plavsic surrendered to the tribunal in January 2001 after it had issued an indictment for genocide, extermination, murder, persecution, deportation and inhumane acts.

She struck a plea agreement with prosecutors in October 2002 in which she "admitted to supporting and contributing to achieving the objective of the permanent removal of ethnic populations by force."

She had expressed remorse and a behavioural report showed she had "exhibited good behaviour" in prison, the ICTY said. "She has participated in the institution's walks and she also occupies herself by cooking and baking."

Victims of Bosnia's war, however, have described the decision as unjust -- although Bosnian Serbs say they are planning a warm welcome.

Postwar Bosnia consists of two semi-autonomous entities -- the Serbs' Republika Srpska and the Muslim-Croat Federation. Each has its own government and they share barely functioning central institutions.

This is a disgrace.

She should be incarcerated for the rest of her life. She is a war criminal.

She definately should not be allowed back to Bosnia, where she will fan the flames of ethic conflict.

Both the European Union and USA are funding Bosnia to help turn it from an ethnic cleansing hellhole into a civilised country that can eventually join the European Union and NATO, leaving its genocidal past where it belongs, in the past.

Bosnia has enough problems at present without this hate monger being allowed back to Bosnia.

I hope they 'release' her to the families of the people she is responsible for killing. Then justice will be done. Can't happen in an enlightened country like Sweden.

Bildt has been wonderfully expedient in allowing the absolute legal minimum prison time for a woman who feverishly went about purging her quasi state of all non Serbs. She admitted to orchestrating the trucking out of hundreds of thousands of non-Serbs and knowing that many of them would be killed, raped and tortured in unimaginable ways. Some mothers who's husbands, sons and young children were savagedly killed with Plavsic's direct knowledge & consent showed up at the Hague, as she was released in her fur coat, escorted onto a Republic Srpska rented plane and picked up by the Prime Minister of Republic Srpska and flown to the mothership in Belgrade. All at a time when Bildt continues to be a fervent Serb apologist and negotiate with the purposefully uncooperative Dodik, who's Bosnian-Serb quasi state is built on the genocidial actions of Plavsic's colleagues. And then he has the gall to equate the Croat and Muslim leadership in Bosnia with Dodik and refer to all of them as uncooperative. If Bildt's approach was used in post WWII, there would be a nazi state in place, that would be preaching the righteousness of their existence - that is what the EU with Bildt's purposeful effort have provided Europe in the Bosnian Serb Republic. And he's proud of it too.

Irrefutable Proof ICTY Is Corrupt Court/Irrefutable Proof the Hague Court Cannot

Legitimately Prosecute Karadzic Case

This legal technicality indicates the Hague must dismiss charges against Dr Karadzic and

others awaiting trials in the Hague jail; like it or not.

Unfortunately for the Signatures Of the Rome Statute United Nations member states

instituting the ICC & ICTY housed at the Hague, insofar as the, Radovan Karadzic, as

with the other Hague cases awaiting trial there, I personally witnessed these United

Nations member states having a substantial conversation and openly speaking about trading judicial appointments and verdicts for financial funding when I attended the 2001 ICC Preparatory Meetings at the UN in

Manhattan making the iCTY and ICC morally incapable trying Radovan Karazdic and

others.

I witnessed with my own eyes and ears when attending the 2001 Preparatory Meetings to

establish an newly emergent International Criminal Court, the exact caliber of criminal

corruption running so very deeply at the Hague, that it was a perfectly viable topic of

legitimate conversation in those meetings I attended to debate trading verdicts AND

judicial appointments, for monetary funding.
