I can not think of any way this sentence can be justified. I would rather go to jail for life by taking theirs if I were the parents. The Swedish justice system speaks not for the dead or bereaved!
SHAME ON THIS SENTENCE and the judge(s).
For their crime they're even allowed to go on a long-stretched vacation in a 'juvenile facility', given all the care they could wish for while the victim lies in a cold grave. What about her parents, does anybody in your country give a bollicks?
Sweden = Failure
It looks really bad on the country, it seems like they value money more than peoples lives.
He can get a slap on the wrist too but justice will be served.
However, this is my personal opinion "Vengeance is mine, says the Lord. I will repay".
I can't imagine anyone of them going through life without a guilty conscience, they will have to live with that.
Now if you commit a crime against the state, then they believe in justice. Try getting caught for tax evasion or the like and even in Sweden you will get a long sentence.
Sweden needs an state within a state, an underground organization, like the Sicilians have. The Swedish state is beyond hope and lost in its utopian ideology/religion. What do you think would have happened to these poor little children if this were Sicily? The family would get justice!
the justice system is the Real tragedy here... really sad
[Well if they did this murder under stress then they should not have any harsh punishment. I think bank robbers, thieves, and child molesters are often misunderstood]....
I don't have words to describe how pissed YOUR statemant has made! I hope child molesters some day will not even be allowed a trial!Bank Robbers, and theives....sure. You are a horses ass.
Nneville's comments were dripping with sarcasm.
Good comment mate.....and calling swedish society like Lord of the Flies hits the nail on the head there.
look up the meaning of sarcasm. both of you are on the same side, as am i. this "punishment" is ridiculous.
Stop being disguted by sarcasm and read thoroughly!
They will not count the time up to now as time served as they haven't been in any type of correctional facilities but in what you could call secured homes.
Neither will they be let out early for good behavior as that is not used in juvenile correction.
That is one of the reasons their sentences are so short.
And make no mistake, I find it absurdly short.
The girl hasn't even shown any signs of guilt or remorse to date.
The boy has at least admitted to what he did. Maybe, just maybe, he could be rehabilitated and some time down the line do something good with his life.
Still, shockingly low punishment for murder :(
But thinking about it in many Muslim countries these people would be stoned. . .
Honestly, I am waiting for someone to tell me this is a joke.
How exactly does this make sense at all?
And regarding stress... I guess only psychopaths are not under any stress when killing so... are we going to give only 20 months to all murderers?
SPY, you made me laugh in all this tragedy, I suggest as a cultural blending we get that idea from our fellow muslims and track these kids and stone them hahaha.
Please, someone has to do something about this. There must be some prosecutor reading or some politician trying to get more votes reading these posts and realizing that society is claiming for better justice!
Once again all the strength in the world for those poor parents.
I say that the murdered girl's father should kill the 2 when they come out of juvinile care. As soon as thos etwo get out they will probably go to a pub and celebrate. I mean seriously if those 2 would kill a girl over jealousy what would 20 months do to fix them if that can be fixed? Woe be to people in sweden!
Sverige is in trouble.
But then again sweden allowed the nazi's to cross over them to invade Norway. Least teh Norwegians put up a fight.
But then again also during the 40's and 50's the Swedes engaged in Eugenics something the nazi's also believed in. They were true darwinists that believed in gettng rid of flaws. So the Swedes like the Nazi'z sterlized undesirables and also expermented on them. They sterilized deaf people, blind, mentally retarded people, just liek CHina does. But atleast China only does it when the peeople want to get married. During those times in Sweden so many were sterilized against their will.
The sentence is a Joke
A family member (teenager & immigrant) is under suspicion of credit card fraud, although he was coerced, he is expecting a custodial sentence of up to 2yrs.
What is the price of life?
