A Swedish job advertisement seeking candidates who aren't afraid to get naked and are practiced in the art of making out in bars has been pulled due to concerns from the National Public Employment Agency (Arbetsförmedlingen).

Additional qualifications sought by the organizers of the Arvika music festival included experience listening to loud music, a willingness to work late at night, and a low level of education.

“Intelligence is not a plus,” read the advertisement.

According to organizers of the festival, billed as the Nordic region’s largest alternative music festival, they were looking for people to help them test new ideas for the event.

“We’re looking for people with practical experience in such things as setting up tents in the rain. Making out in bars. Listening to loud music and dancing for hours in the mud,” read the text of the job announcement

“You should have a good understanding of social situations, be able to work/go with groups of drunken, crazy people.”

But the advert didn’t last long among the job announcements listed at the employment agency, which decided to pull the ad at the weekend because it could be considered offensive.

“It may be inappropriate for us to participate in recruitment of that sort,” the agency’s Kai Oja told the Aftonbladet newspaper.

But the Arvika festival’s Jonas Linné, who said organizers had received about 100 applications for the job, disagreed with Arbetsförmedlingen’s view of the advert.

“We don’t think it’s offensive at all,” he told the newspaper.

“Sometimes you get naked at festivals. It’s nice to be naked.”

They are also recruiting for office staff:

'Stunning woman required for general office duties and to brighten the place up a bit. Must be easy on the eye and prepared to give horiszontal refreshment to the boys. Vocational experience would be seen as an advantage but is not essential, send a picture with application. No feminists'

Perhaps they can recruit Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling to join the festivities, for neither are college graduates: seeing as "education and intelligence" are not a plus in the desired qualifications???
22:53 November 4, 2009 by Nemesis
I suggest they try to recruit in England, Ireland or United States of America.

They should find willing recruits there.
