Monster Jam

Monster Jam is a crazy, American spectacle for the whole family and it comes to the Ericsson Globe arena this weekend. Four tonne, 3.4 metre high monster trucks burning gallons of fuel and bouncing 40 metres in the air at 160 kph – grab the kids and beat those climate change blues.

Hot favourites Grave Digger and Batman will be there to challenge home favourite Thor and others in a display of rippling rubber and pumping pistons.

Price: 75 - 450 kronor
Time: Saturday November 14th - Sunday November 15th
Tickets: Monster Jam Tickets
Location: Ericsson Globe, Globentorget

Tvättstuga Tales - a very Swedish exhibition

The tvättstuga (communal laundry room) is a very Swedish (and Finnish) institution. Every block of flats has one and they often form the function of impromptu neighbourly meeting place and regularly give cause to conflict.

Loved by some, hated by others, the "tvättstuga" is something of nostalgic hangover from a more collectivist age. It is also the subject of a new exhibition at Nordiska.

Apparently 77 percent of residential conflicts have their origin in washing times and fluff in the dryer - and you wonder why there is war in the world...

Price: Free of charge
Time: From November 6th, 10-16 Mon-Fri/11-17 Sat-Sun
Location: Nordiska Museet, Djurgårdsvägen 6-16.
More information: Tvättstugan at Nordiska
