"FOUR" haha
Unfortunately they are everywhere and if you react and confront one, then you have ten beating you without even knowing the reason of the discussion.
Perhaps I am becoming racist because when I see them I take my precautions.
The guy in the video is a typical example.
When it comes to racism - believe me, its present in Sweden much more then you can see. Swedes are like that - they will never confront you but will gladly talk crap about you behind your back. I have one at work who keeps talking crap about foreigners on a daily basis. Perhaps you're blond and have a perfect accent, thats why you havent seen it :)
oh and the guy wasn't mad....surprise. But maybe next time he won't be on his mobile having a beer next to a couple guys playing frisbee.
WOW you were in the US and you made all those observations? We don't have healthcare? Poorest country? Very rich and very poor? I was there 8 months ago and boy things must have REALLY changed since then. Where did you visit Compton?
If I know 10 working Swedes and 10 working Americans my American friends are infinitely better off financially than their Swedish counterparts. Maybe Boston is different, or Vermont, or St. Petersburg Fl....or Delaware (places I have lived).
I have been to hospitals here and the US and let me tell you there is no doubt if my life depended on it where I would want to be cared for.
Hilarious!
I'd argue that this is a much richer country. I get to keep every penny I earn and spend it as I see fit.
US GDP
$14.44 trillion (2008 est.)
country comparison to the world: 2 (Actually first, since "Europe" isn't really a country)
GDP - per capita (PPP): $47,500 (2008 est.)
Sweden GDP
$345.1 billion (2008 est.)
country comparison to the world: 33
GDP - per capita (PPP): $38,200 (2008 est.)
Hmm...looks like about 25% better here, and I don't pay any income tax. So that would be what? 2.5X the actual income? And much cheaper gas, food, utilities, resources?
We have plenty of programs for poor and homeless. It's entirely possible to live on charity in America and be obese, there is so much food. We pay farmers not to produce, to keep the prices from being too cheap (which I object to, but we can afford to), and we give millions of tons of food away all over the world, and we can keep doing it while spending a trillion $$ to kick people's butts.
However, a lot of people (and I don't know why myself) CHOOSE to live on the street rather than in all the housing we make available. There is public housing boarded up and vacant from lack of use.
It may be DIFFERENT from Sweden, but it's not worse. And I'm not aware of anyone from the US needing to flee to Sweden to be safe from a bully.
Now shut up and make me a new Husqvarna chainsaw! (Because I DO LOVE Swedish tools.)
Adios
