However I believe my small country acted with the same dignity and character other countries only dreamm of.
Slan go fail Ireland abu !
Well hopefully now, football will be one f the last and next games to implement " video replay" decisions for goals that are appealed.
I don't think it would have made much of a difference if Ireland had won. I reckon they would have been sent packing in the first round back to their skirts and kidneys with warm beamish stout ;-D
It was very unfair for Ireland.
Henry and the rest of the French players, officals etc have absolutely no shame or honour or decency,it shows French and Irish children that cheating and trickery and fraud win you matches and win you advantages in life unfairly.
It is a disgrace and I believe as an Irish citizen living in Sweden that the match must be replayed,FIFA have done everything in their power to put France through at the expense of Ireland, they thought we would just lie down and be beaten by the French.
It is a national scandal and it reflects how filthy lucre is the cause of it.
France means far more money for FIFA than Ireland would because of our much smaller population.
We also hope that the referee be investigated as having been possibly bribed or having his palms greased by the French.
I have found the Swedish people to be honest and fair and friendly and they would want a rematch. They have showed me nothing but courtesy and fairness since I came to live here.
If this just boils over and is forgotten,it means as is often the case, vile cheating and thievery have won.
I hope France is cursed in the World Cup in 2010.
Henry and his entire bunch of teammates are robbers and fraudsters.
However money does rule the world and the seeding fiasco which ensures France has an easier run led by Platini who happens to be .... is only one of the reason why Ireland where not to get to the worldcup. The most annoying thing is that your countryman referee has not come out and apologised to the Irish people. Two wrongs dont make a right.
ps peropaco its spuds and guiness.
AND, the french were offside in the first place. S***e judgin by linesman. 2 mistakes, one after another? Feeling more than a little pissed off.
if there´s any justice there´ll be a rematch.
1. refs an idiot
2. linesman's blind
3.a ref of a (no offence) minor football league shouldn't ref high profile international matches.
4. fifa have some hidden agenda.
5.ireland played the best football i've ever seen them play in my 15 years, after a rejuvination under trap, and were rewarded by soddy reffing and a biased fifa, who on a connected point always seem to somehow get the most contrevertial and high profile matches in the champs league from a random draw............. the're not beyond fixing and unfairness.
There is no need to vent your frustration on Ireland for your country´s early departure in the world cup qualifying match
We know that your team is rubbish but why take that out on a side with such quality as Ireland
consider yourself cursed with the Irish 1 leave clover that´s got about as much luck as your country making the world cup as ......LOL
The ref blundered but Irish also have themselves to blame for not taking their chances with Duff and Keane missing a sitter.
The match should be replayed .
Hansson did not pay any mind to the Irish protests which started even before the goal (as they raise their hands when Henry stops the ball from going out) and he does not even consult with Henry about it. A referee of experience would had seen the whole picture developing and call it off.
FIFA's opposition to technology seems an indication that they reserve themselves the right to fix games apparently. Nothing new.
Forget what some of the so - called experts in France who say that this would slow the game down - rubbish !
Playback is the future.....look at Rugby League ,Cricket and other sports who use it.
If Eduardo gets banned for 2 matches after a match is finished then surely Henrys goal is not valid and a replay is the fair decision.
Swedish ref was incorrect and to help him his integrity could have been maintained by use of play-back.
When will the sport wake up ? teams have been promoted , relegated for years by bad decisions.
Does it matter which?
Henry and the whole French football team and officialdom have stained and dishonoured the great French people as well as the Irish people.
The have dishonoured sport and football.
The tragic little French football manager doesn't even understand what the fuss is about, the French cheated, they won and they are going to the World Cup finals in South Africa next year.
France won,didn't they?
It's not about getting angry and upset about a game, football IS indeed a beautiful game and it is a metaphor for life itself.
It shows that FIFA's waffle about fairness and integrity is just a sick lie.
FIFA and FFF,the French Football Federation are now annoyed that people Europe-wide will not tolerate this dishonouring and cheating and fraud. They hope it will quickly blow over.
That's why there is so much injustice and inequality in society, lies and cheating often win.
Henry and Gallas and the rest of the French multi-millionaires have put filthy lucre and "celebrity" over and above decency and honour and fairness.
Henry will go down in history as a cheat and liar.
The match should not be replayed but awarded to Ireland for the theft of a Nation's hopes and to show that decency can sometimes struggle through.
But multi-millionaires Platini and Blatter and other sinister, oily, cheating individuals will make sure Ireland are not in South Africa next year.
You will see referees checking the screenplay and ensure their decisions are not wrong.
Players respecting referees decicions.
And French and Irish play much more fairplay, even with the increased brutality of the contact.
Then comes the 3rd time, are meals and beers...
You cannot be serious man.....Just look at the number of cases of head stomping,..eye gouging,....earbiting and the rest in the last few seasons,...then the recent case of the guy with a red paint capsule in his mouth feigning injury, that disgraced himself, his club and rugby union as a whole even further, if that was possible.
The game, if you can call it that, has been dragged into the gutter, making soccer very civilised by comparison!
This BOY is a disgrace
By the way, I'm not Swedish...
You lost this argument as you resorted to PROFANITY1
I have Irish friends, and I love the Irish people, and you appear to be a disgrace to them. Stop trying to impress everyone with your experience and pseudo eloquence because you have none: you are prejudiced and you're a loser. If you still think you "won" this "argument", I don't care because I'm not that low...
And if you still think that Swedes are VIKINGS, I advise you to quit this website definitely, it appear that it did not bring you any good...
The ref actually had a good game untill that moment, maradona has did it, messi and other great players, please lovely people of the world calm down and allow FIFA to decide. The match can not and will never be re played. Nigeria usa 94 played against argentina with maradona heavily loaded with drugs we lost that game, maradona was punished by fifa so people allow fifa to handle this. thank you guys welcome to africa 2010
