As sports car maker Koenigsegg reverses out of its takeover deal, GM-owned Saab is increasingly being viewed by analysts as a company without a future. It aims to be a volume producer, but last year produced just 93,000 vehicles - a tiny number by global standards.

A point about the profitability under GM ownership.
GM used some creative accounting with SAAB. While they made a profit from European sales, they always made a loss on sales in the USA. Why?, because the cost of production was put on the Swedish books, but the revenue from sales in the US went straight to GM in the USA
900/ 9/3/ 93 Aero/ 9/5 Aero..
The 900 Fell Apart..But I loved it..A beautiful experience..The 9/5 Aero
was a MasterPiece..in transport..Safe..Fast ..Loved It..
The 9/3 saved my life..An SUV lost control..in front of me..I slammed the SUV
at around 60 MPH..walked away..
GM did not fail SAAB..complacency failed GM/SAAB..
Ive owned Porsches..Many Mercedes..Many BMW's...Most every Manufacturer..
Somehow the Swedes.. always.. placed a piece of themselves.. in the cars..
as well as their philisophy..in the design..
No one else..not the Germans..Japanese..Americans..Nor the Chinese
can duplicate this
Sad times

Under Koenigsegg, they will be with Chritian Von Koenigsegg, who if he failed would probably go down fighting for them.
Koenigsegg would have a chance of suceeding. I say give them the chance.
