Swedish migration minister Tobias Billström lightened the mood at an EU meeting about human trafficking on Monday by sneaking his baby daughter into the proceedings.

Eight-month old Tone was smuggled into the meeting in her father's arms at the start of talks in Brussels on asylum rights and the battle against human trafficking.

Her appearance brought a tender touch to the meeting and elicited smiles from Billström’s European counterparts.

She was also a big hit when they first alighted from the official car and her proud father spoke to waiting reporters, even stealing some of his thunder.

"You're supposed to be looking at me," the 35-year-old minister complained as he arrived with his wife and child.

"Mr. Billström wanted to spend a bit more time with his family," a Swedish spokesman explained.

"They travelled to Brussels at their own expense," he assured reporters.

Billström presided over the EU talks as his country holds the bloc's rotating presidency.

Maybe Statsminister Tobias Billström should get it into his head that th baby he was holding in his arms is what some traffickers deal in. He might then realise that turning a blind eye ot trafficking due to political postering is a really bad idea.

Traffickers need to be tackled head on, not excused, understood or treated lightly.

Another good example of a typical Swedish man - an inaffectual breast feeding sissie!

I suggest people with daddy issues sod off and leave Tobias Billström alone.

Admit it, you are jealous your dad never "showed you off".

"Look at the white baby , Look at the white baby - shiney shiney ....."

Seriously, why do we pay politicians to not do their job properly?

Babys are nice, but he is being paid by the tax payers to do a job which he clearly is neglecting.

Smuggling babies into EU debates regarding Human trafficking ? Seriously, is this a pisstake? Does this guy even understand what he word trafficking mean?

If he wants to moonlight as a "nanny", he can do it in his own spare time and not paid by tax payers.
