A Spanish matador who recently challenged the sport's macho image by advertising a drink popular on the gay club scene has been invited to southern Sweden to help local farmers master their bulls.

Joselito Ortega hit the headlines in the autumn after agreeing to carry advertising for energy drink Gay Up on his bullfighter's cape.

Now the trailblazing toreador is on his way to Sweden following an approach from the Småland county administrative board.

"We want to make use of the knowledge a bull fighter possesses," said spokeswoman Anna Nilsson.

Some fifteen farmers have already signed up for a course at the end of the month at which Ortega is set to appear in the company of Emil von Schultz, a 63-year-old Swede who once plied his trade as a matador in Spain.

"It's important to try out new ideas," said Anna Nilsson.

Five farmers died in Sweden between 2004 to 2008 as a result of attacks by cows or bulls.

So what is the link between him promoting the drink and teaching farmers about bulls? Or is it just some sugar coating to make the story sound sweeter?

For many people who dislike animal cruelty bullfighters are not people to be admired . Bull fights are a bloody ,cowardly spectacle of torturous abuse to animals who are weakened and tortured before going in to the ring . Horses are also at great risk of being terribly gored .Many spanish people abhor it and are campaigning for a ban .In the UK there has been a succssesful campaign to persuade a tour company to have an advertisment removed which publicized bullfighting in spain .As for Emil Van Schultz ,what goes around comes around .

Seems like a promotion of the gay agenda disquised as a news article.

Good on ya Thames, I think you're right.

Let's see what this seeming 'news article' is REALLY about: thinly veiled gay propaganda, perhaps?

Could this be apart of the Gay Agenda? I wonder what that looks like, I've come up with this rough sketch of how it might go:

GAY AGENDA:

1. Find other gay people

2. Fight for legalized gay marriage

3. Promote Gay-friendly energy drinks using spokesmen famous for archaic sport rituals

4. Mess with non-gays and try to turn them gay by manipulating the media

Solid.

Is this guy a macho idiot like the wolf hunters have been labeled by posters? or does he get a reprieve since he is gay?
13:13 January 14, 2010 by lintexdig
That is very idiot idea of such groups. these people have willingly turned themselves to be animals of irrational being, paranoid with some delusionism, i would be extreme radical aganist these groups for that matter because they mess themselves among the innocent and distribute their poinsons... now they are turning to mess up our drinks and soon foods, what kind of brand food are we going to buy!!! .........heheh......

I'm having a difficult time translating this story from English to English, however, from what I gather, it is proposed to have rogue bulls drink this swill thereby rendering them gay and enabling the matador to pass on his skills in gay bull defense to five or so farmers who otherwise might die a hapless death without training? If correct, thanks much, and keep us posted. Ole and regards.

Well it looked kind of silly but just minutes ago I watched a brief segment on Kanal 4 regarding the instructions the "Gay Matador" was providing to Swedish farmers. There was no unnecessary reference to his sexual preference but the whole thing looked quite queer to me. Pun intended....
