In hopes of sparing her children from seeing their parents divorce, Elin Nordegren last week paid a visit to a sex addiction clinic where husband Tiger Woods is seeking treatment, according to celebrity website reports.

People magazine and RadarOnline reported Nordegren wants to avoid divorce, citing unnamed sources, after spending five days with the golf star as part of his rehabilitation treatment program in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Nordegren's parents divorced when she was a child and she wants to avoid having her children, two-year-old daughter Sam and 50-week-old son Charlie, face the same difficulty.

"Elin wants a solid family life," a source told People.

"She was a child of divorce and felt her dad slighted her. She absolutely does not want that to happen to Sam and Charlie.

"So she wants to keep her family together even if she and Tiger live together as friends instead of lovers."

US weekly reported that she stayed at the estate of American football star Brett Favre while in Hattiesburg and that she and Woods' management team pressured Woods into taking part in the six-week program.

Part of the Gentle Path program in the middle of six weeks of therapy and counseling is for a patient's spouse to visit for about a week for Disclosure Day, when Woods would have told Nordegren about all of his affairs.

Woods has admitted infidelity and taken an indefinite leave of absence from professional golf to solve his personal problems even as more than 14 women have claimed sexual relationships with the first billion-dollar athlete.

Woods wants to stay married to Nordegren, according to People's sources.

"Tiger wants to go back to being a golf star with major endorsements," the source told People. "He wants his clients, who have kids of their own, to think he is a good family man. He had hoped all along that his wife's initial furor would die down so they could discuss the situation and behave rationally.

"Keeping the family together is very important to Tiger so he is doing whatever it takes to keep Elin from leaving him and taking the kids."

Us reported that Woods is not allowed to play golf in addition to not having sex of any kind during the treatment program, meaning he is unable to prepare for a return to the PGA Tour or use the sport as an escape.

"He is used to going in this robot mode of hitting a ball over and over as a way to escape," a source told US.

"His dad taught him that at age 2. But he can't do that now."

RadarOnline, citing its own unnamed source, said Nordegren was pleased when she arrived home Sunday and has not filed divorce papers.

"She was happy when she came home. Things went well," the source said.

"He has told her he's serious about making it work and doing whatever he can. The stress has taken a big toll on her, but she's a strong woman."

Us reported she would fly home to Sweden in February to regroup but had not planned to move back to her homeland.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Tuesday that her daughter's pre-school has hired on off-duty deputy to deal with photographers causing traffic problems trying to take pictures of Sam.

Nordegren, 30, was photographed without wedding rings in Orlando on Monday, when news broke about a Daily Beast story purporting to detail her actions the night she learned Woods was having an affair.

The Daily Beast report had Woods warning his wife last November that a tabloid report would claim he had an affair with Rachel Uchitel, so he had the two of them talk for about half an hour.

Later, Nordegren found e-mails between the two on his cell phone, one of them reportedly from him to Uchitel saying, "You are the only one I've ever loved."

Nordegren sent Uchitel a message purportedly from Woods and later called from her husband's number, saying, "I knew it was you," when Uchitel answered.

Woods, who had taken a sleeping pill, was awakened to Nordegren screaming at him and locked himself in the bathroom. He later attempted to flee while barefooted as his wife chased him with a golf club, according to the report.

if this reporting is true .... then it must be one of the very very few times in swedish women history .. that a mother put the rights of her children to enjoy a father and mother above her desire to use their children to get back at the husband....

feminists must be crucifying and cursing elin behind the scenes....

When heroin addicts go to a clinic to kick the habit, they get weaned off with Methadone. I wonder what happens in a sex addiction clinic? The mind boggles LOL

In Tiguer's case, wanting to have sex with a non responsive wife twice a month represent sexual addiction.

A survey shows about 54% of married women and about 40% of married men have extramartial sex. The affair is not unique to Tiger. I do not see the need for others to medle in one one family\s affair just because the man is rich.

What a dumbass!!!
13:18 January 27, 2010 by Beynch
Dear Elin: This is not goig to work. Woods is nothing more than a prison yard thug in his attitude, and this sex rehab in Mississippi is only smoke and mirrors. You should take this opportunity to kiss him permanently goodbye, get all the money you can get, nothing less than $400,000,000.00, get a good tax shelter(your mother should be able to help you there), and shake loose this burden. Let Woods chase all the pancake waitresses he wants. This is your chance to start afresh with the kids without this side steeping cheat. Trust me, he'll be chasing skirts again soon enough.
13:43 January 27, 2010 by peropaco
There Elin, if you take the money and run it will only prove one thing most people are already convinced of; that you were in it for the money from the very start. I know you are a hero to many: poor little chamber maid ( hembiträde) marries a world-renown star; bread out some kids; purposely withdraws herself from providing him some basic wifely sexual gratification to force a reaction and then divorce him and claim half his fortune. Great magnum opus, don't you reckon???...
14:05 January 27, 2010 by Beynch
@peropaco. So what if she was in it for the money? I'm sure she will laughing all the way to the bank(in Switzerland). Your description above is a 'positive', not a 'negative'. I wish it were me.
14:16 January 27, 2010 by peropaco
Hej Beynch. I am sure the piiga was in it for the money just like most women married to wealthy men. My objection is she should stop all the pretending and just come out and say she was a gold-digging putana. :-)

@living in sweden you on point

@Beynch, i'm sure you had a similar problem, and come to think of it, you must have been worst than Tiger, and you were left in the cold and expected Elin do same. I really do pitty you if at all you do not get consoled with Elin actions!!!

The first time i saw a Swedish woman behaved otherwise. Indeed strange
16:04 January 27, 2010 by Sol
Elin, If this report is true believing you me, you are one of the best women in the world. Like the second write pointed out (then it must be one of the very few times in Swedish women history). Please let this children enjoy what I called both fatherly and motherly love as they grow up. I had it as a child growing up. It really helped me. Today I am very happy and proud of it. Thanks to my mum and Dad for giving me that love. Elin, Sam and Charlie will grow up to appreciate you and Tiger for this decision forever.

Tiger my good friend let me state here that it was a mistake that could be condone and forgiven but know that if it happens again it will never in all its totality be condoned. Please both of you should not listen to those men and women out there that are self centered and do not think of the impact divorce normally have on their children before jumping in and out of marriage with the slightest problem. My love goes out to both of you. God bless you and have a fruitful happy marriage life… Sol.
16:23 January 27, 2010 by peropaco
@Sol,

you are right. Sam and Charlie will appreciate their parents stayed together but only if it is in harmony and will love. otherwise if they fight like cats and dogs then they only ones to be affected will be the kids and in which case they should get divorce.
