'Streaming overtakes file sharing': report

Its really quite simple:

Downloading requires you to have a client like utorrent or frostwire or dc++ (for you old school kids: KAZAA, Napster) etc, streaming is just visiting a webpage and watching - like youtube.

Problem is, most sites dont stream very good quality, but when you do find a site that does (for example episodeninja.com/) its trivial to save the stream as a download if you dont want to hook your computer up to your tv.

There are many streaming sites on the internet, here's some help:

in google use the search term:

two and a half men online episodes

and you'll see a host of them.

If you are using firefox simply use google to search for:

firefox streaming download addon

and you can then download a host of addons to download the stream.

If all you are after is audio:

you can save the stream from spotify or youtube or any other place (as long as you can hear the music on your speakers, you can save it) you can use Wire Tap Pro for the Mac or for windows there are loads of programs, some that were recommended to me by friends:

freecorder.com/freecorder3/ (never used it myself so dont have an opinion.

i-sound

etc

or just use google for:

save audio stream windows

(For windows a lot of programs are for sale or come on a trial basic, use before you buy so you know it works for you)

the best part about saving a audio/video stream: its **impossible** to detect via current anti piracy methods.

Or you can still download from places like thepiratebay but use a VPN (50kr a month) and give the finger to the anti piracy slobs and music/movie cartels.
