Finally it will be possible for all students living in Uppsala to take advantage of low cost tickets without the hassle to commute to Skavsta! Quite often it is more expensive to buy the bus ticket to go there, than the airplane fare itself!
Quite the opposite, what the world doesnt need is rip off carriers. Hows your "global warming" the last 3 months,oh its conviently been renamed to "climate change" as its was obviously nonsense...
This is great news, have looked at the airports website and they seem a far class act compared to Skavsta, looking forward to flying from there :)
Support for the airport is HUGE. For Uppsala country and north Stockholm its ideal as opposed to Skavsta.
Even from an environmental point of view its better than Skavsta, the busses only travel half the distances to get ther eand there is also a train link.
Its also going to give lots of job opportunities for the very students your saying dont want it!
It may be of no use to you, but what about the students (and other people) who would like to trvel within Europe??
The only airportd nearby are Arlanda, which only has a limited low cost model from Norwegin due to high -cost airlines taking most of the slots (with the exception of Norwegian)
