Bergström and Prince Charles invited to royal wedding pre-party

Two unexpected names have cropped up on the invitation list to the official pre-party for royal wedding couple Crown Princess Victoria and Daniel Westling: Jonas Bergström, Princess Madeleine's former fiancé, and Emma Pernald, who dated Prince Carl Philip until a year ago.

Prince Charles, Social Democratic youth league president Jytte Guteland and Sveriges Television (SVT) journalist Mats Knutson are among the others invited.

The guest list, published in Expressen, can be interpreted as an indication of who will attend the wedding banquet. In addition to the royal family's friends, virtually all of the Scandinavian royal houses, representatives from most of the other European monarchies and princes and princesses from Jordan, Thailand and Japan are on the list.

They will mingle with the likes of business mogul and H&M billionaire Stefan Persson, obesity paediatrician Dr. Claude Marcus, Helena Benaouda, chairwoman of the Muslim Council of Sweden, and Roxette musician Per Gessle. In addition, all members of Sweden's parliament, the Riksdag, will receive invitations.

"However, who will actually come, that remains to be seen," said Lars Starell, the Riksdag's international registry section manager.

The celebration, which takes place on June 18th, the day before Princess Victoria and Daniel's wedding, will begin with a dinner hosted by the government at Eric Ericson Hall and culminate in a gala performance at the Concert Hall, which the Riksdag will host.

Prince Charles really is not a good looking guy. He looks like the creepy uncle you always try to avoid at family reunions.

The Swedish royals and British royals are related so naturally Prince Charles would be invited. I agree Prince Charles doesn't have the looks of his older former monarch family members, such as Edward VIII. He was very good looking and everyone loved him, but he was a terrible king 9couldn't keep military secrets) and decided to abdicate to marry a divorced woman. I don't know how great Charles will be, but I wish we were a less shallow world that didn't focus and judge on looks. Sweden's Princess Victoria catches crap about her chin everytime there is an article on the Local with her.
