Elin and Tiger sign $750 million divorce

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have signed a divorce settlement worth $750 million to the Swedish wife of the disgraced golf star, according to a report in the UK tabloid newspaper The Sun.

30-year-old Nordegren will reportedly receive a settlement amounting to the biggest payout ever seen in a celebrity divorce but in return has been barred from publicly revealing anything about her ex-husband's flings with a string of women.
Nordegren, who was first introduced to Tiger Woods while working as a nanny for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, will hang on to an apartment in Stockholm and a farmhouse she recently purchased on a nearby island.
She will also keep the main family home in Windermere, Florida while Tiger Woods will get a $50 million estate on Jupiter Island in Florida and a $2 million apartment in Los Angeles.
The divorce papers have been signed and the formalities are expected to be completed in Orlando County Court within "the next seven days" according to a friend of Elin Nordegren quoted by the newspaper.
The pair will share the legal custody of the children although Nordegren will act as their main carer, after Woods was reportedly unwilling to bow to demands from his estranged wife for sole custody.

If I was a Swedish woman I'd be fearing for the future reading you lot.
A gold digger is someone who deliberately targets a rich person for their money rather than love. In fact not only did Elin Nordegren not target Tiger, she turned him down more times that he likes to remember. Clearly she was right in her assessment of him first time. If she'd stuck with her head rather than eventually going with her heart she wouldn't now be holding two babies fathered by a serial nutter.
By any normal persons reckoning Tiger Wood's behaviour is totally beyond the pale and grounds for divorce. I've lost count of how many women he had affairs with around about the 20 mark. It now appears he's had further flings since his "sincere", from the heart, on air TV apology. Short of wife battering it's really not possible for a husband ti sink any lower than this.
Nordegren is a decent intelligent woman and clearly deserves far better than this messed up, mentally ill, idiot. I wish her well.
I really don't know why he was rushing to get married. He was a a young man that still needed to enjoy his success without risking his fortune.
Just wonder what the GOLD DIGGER is gonna do with her ill gotten wealth :(

It is a shame that there are such morons as Tiger, who trades such gift of family and unconditional love and kids for a sex with prostitutes. He got what he deserves.
People who speak of Elin as gold digger, make me sick. After all, she could have married a normal person and have lived a much happier life. What is in the money when heart is not at peace?
Isn't she showing a clear intent of attempting to sever ties to the US and replacing them largely with ties to Sweden for herself and her children?
Or does she plan to keep paying US taxes on these ex-spousal and child support payments and remain a US resident?
In the event that she surrenders her status as a lawful permanent resident of the US, I won't shed a tear if the US government looks into any such action by her being done to avoid payment of taxes in the US and thus subject to US taxation regardless of her moving to Sweden or not. The US tax authorities will not let her get away that easily. And maybe the Swedish tax authorities won't let her get away that easily with all this money.
Doesn't this money sound like a pay-off for being a sex partner in every sense of the phrase "sex partner"?
Will she pay over about $500 million in TAX to Sweden for this payout or?
I bet from now on Tiger has a form for all the girls to sign before they even get to say HI to him!
By celebrity standards (which are very low), Elin and Tiger have handled their break up in a dignified and private manner, putting their children first, and saying as little as possible to the public. Tiger's getting some serious treatment for his addicition and, for the sake of the children, I hope Elin gives him a second chance when she has calmed down. My hopes count for nothing too, and I don't blame her if she doesn't.
If only our other celebrity wife Anna had half the dignity Elin has, she would be a much happier person than she is now.
I hope your wife is shagging someone David T. Because often cheaters are getting it at home too. It makes no difference. A liar and a cheater will take it wherever they get it.
Are people gold diggers when they are severely wronged and take people to court to sue for expenses lost PLUS DAMAGES? No. This was a smart move. He f%&*ed her over, who would want to be with him? For all we know, he could have slept with some wh*re who had AIDS and then passed it onto Elin, and even maybe the kids. Adultry is more than just an emotional trainwreck. She got what was legally entitled to her, and secured a future for herself and her two children. I highly doubt she's gunna go live a life like Paris Hilton, that money will most assuredly go into a trust for her children.
You all need to stop judging and let the courts decide what is just.
Look at howmuch money you have thrown away to a gold digger. The best thing she has ever achieved is to marry you and be ther mother to your kids. She got no carrer, nothing.

The $750 million dollar figure is probably off by a factor of nearly 10 and any agreement is likely to have some kind of ability for Tiger Woods to rescind the agreement or clawback assets if there is a violation of the agreement by Tiger Woods' now former "sex partner".
Don't you know about the good works of charity that Gates does?.

Tiger could better use his money that way, not paying it off to some lazy woman who has never done anything and yes, is less likely to do so with the cheaply gotten wealth :)
I've followed Gates' charitable contributions since the days when a lack of charitable giving was amongst his major criticisms in the US.
The majority of Bill Gates charitable spending has occurred in the time after he got married.
About the point that Tiger Woods' money is better given to charity than to his Swedish wife, I agree. She can live comfortably enough even with a mere million dollars pay-out for every year in which she was his "sex partner".

Although I'm not normally in favor of big alimony payments in this case there might be an exception. Elin and the family was partially responsible for part of his income. Having a family and a wholesome image helped him get many of these endorsements which made up the bulk of his income. Just look at how they ran away from his new image .
I thought the 750 million figure was way off. The first media report is almost always inaccurate. I knew that Tiger was not worth 750 million so I was wondering how the media went running the 750 figure.....but it does not surprise me. Thats how the media rolls most of the time.
