Perhaps I'm missing some sarcastic humor here but Tensta and Rinkeby are pretty much all Muslim. Gays are one of the many groups/cultures/religions that normally reacted to with violence by Muslims. Thus, I said that I doubt the parade will pass through those place. Again, if I'm missing some sarcastic humor there...my bad.

Some people think Islam is the biggest threat to gay rights. I don't necessarily disagree with that feeling. However, Nachos tries to hijack every topic to push his protectionist ideology that's against free movement of people.

I was at the parade. There was a dark-skinned 9 year old with a rainbow shirt that read "Jihad 4 love". There was the council of ex-Muslims. The youth section of some Swedish church. There was a guy with a Saudi outfit. A few folks in parodies of burkas. There was Iranian, Iraqi and Kurdish flags all over the place. As well as a bunch of hardcore anti-religious people calling themselves humanists.

I don't think religion is completely irrelevant here. On the contrary. Most of the discrimination gays encounter today are remnants of old societal codes of conduct (mainly, the monotheistic religions).

I'm sure they do. I'm sure some people enjoy looking at images of bestiality and necrophilia and other such things. If they do, they should keep it to themselves. Heterosexual sex is the only normal type of sex - anything else is a sexual disorder.

I don't know about the statements above, but for my part, the parade had a rehearsed, corporate, dutiful ambience. Only about five Dykes on three Bikes, one a scooter. There was no sense of celebration, no spontaneity, only institutionalized political correctness. Definitely organized from the top down.

Of course, if you bring your dumbass religions into the picture, it becomes your problem because that's what religion is - stuffing your dogma down the throats of others whether they like it or not, and most of that dogma is rubbish, having been cooked up by illiterate, uneducated, superstitious nomads in the deserts of Arabia 2000 years ago. ever occurred to you that some people believe in their own sexuality (hetero) so strong that homosexuality just seems out of place? what you think of LGBT has nothing to do with one's sexual confidence. what annoyed me most is the way they market Pride movement and turned it from the simple fight of minority's right into a huge politically-motivated showcase. even worse is the way those ppl shove the issue up your face, spreading the idea that being LGBT is "cool", "special", "popular" and "if you are not LGBT then you should try it cos that's what open-minded ppl would do". i have no problem with LGBT ppl. in fact i have some good friends who are gay. but, to them, i make it perfectly clear that i myself am hetero so dont hit on me. if the debate is about whether homosexuality is natural or not, i can tell you with my knowledge from a biology-major: being gay means you don't reproduce, hence. it's a evolutionary dead-end and the person/animal's gene will be weeded out of existence. it certainly occurs among wild animals. however, since being homosexual wont bring any evolutionary advantage to you and your offspring(lack, thereof), the dominant trait remains to be heterosexuality.

Someone thought to separate them to see what would happen and they fell into a malaise and depression that was unreal. I'm talking about the allele frequency here. microevolution states: if the percentage of a certain gene and/or its related trait varies over time in a given population, then evolutionary mechanism has been at work. being gay won't be a dominant, heritable trait. hence there will never be more natural gays than natural straight. the genes that make ppl prone to cancer are also evolutionary dead-ends. yet still we see ppl getting cancer. human as a species hasn't evolved for too long, furthermore the tribal culture imposed on individuals did override the natural instinct. how long ago was it since the first gay came out? back then when homosexuality wasn't acknowledged, homosexual ppl still got married and had kids bcos their family made the decision for them. even Elton John married a woman years ago. among animals, there is no such thing. perhaps you can tell me how many gay penguins are out there? i got no beef against gay ppl coming out or just "be themselves". altho i have to say Pride is anything but "being who you are". just look at how Göran Hägglund got trash-talked for not attending Pride. whoever is behind Pride is using it as a political force. showing the slightest disinterest in their agenda and you're labeled a nazi.
