Celebrity chef Tina Nordström, Hollywood actress Izabella Scorupco and Princess Madeleine came out on top when Swedish men were asked to plump for their dream woman and detail their sexual fantasies, according to a survey by Novus Opinion.

The survey, which posed questions over sex, health and women on behalf of pharmaceutical firm Pfizer, indicates that 43 percent of Swedish men experience difficulty understanding what women really want.

Typical male sex fantasies are reported to range from sex outdoors, oral sex, and sex with colleagues. Other carnal activities of choice include anal sex, sex toys and sex with the neighbour, while by far the favourite fantasy was sex with more than one woman.

The sample of 2,112 men aged 20-80-years-old, overwhelmingly opted for bums and breasts as the most attractive features on a woman.

While more than a third of respondents argued that age has no bearing on the female lure, the younger men in the survey tended to prefer women in their forties and fifties, while every other other man aged over 51 said that age was of no relevance.

Hockey legend Börje Salming was tipped as the "Sweden's most manly man", closely followed by strongman Magnus Samuelsson, and actors Dolph Lundgren and Mikael Persbrandt.

Self-assurance was cited as the most manly feature.

According to the survey two out of three men claimed to think about sex at least once a day, with two percent claiming to have sex on average several times a day. Nine percent of respondents meanwhile admitted to never having sex.

"43 percent of Swedish men experience difficulty understanding what women really want."

Seems a bit low considering what women really want changes hourly.

@celebian22

Glad to know that you have met all women in the world except me to state such a generalization.

I might introduce you to many men I know that change what they really want every 10 minutes......
17:16 September 2, 2010 by calebian22
glamelixir,

I apologise. You must be different from every woman I have ever met.

Do you just live to stir up s#¤t calebian22? Maybe the next time you want to understand what a women really want you should LISTEN TO HER.

Who cares what women want! I am a happy male with good animal behaviors. The Princess gets my vote.

"43 percent of Swedish men experience difficulty understanding what women really want."

More like 43 percent of Swedish men do not know what they themselves want. A man who has focus, self confidence, and drive naturally attracts women. Know yourself and women will want to get to know you.

"9 percent of respondents have never had sex"

What? 20 to 80 years old and never having sex? Its not like the atheist hordes are saving it for marriage.

"while by far the favourite fantasy was sex with more than one woman."

Been there done that. Its better one on one...so probably most guys have never had two women at once.

Last two points probably have to do with the shy Swedish male while sober. Remember guys you have a pair of balls..act like you got a pair and execute.

Uunbeliever,

Which assertion should I listen too? The one this hour or the next? Of course you and glamelixir are the exceptions.

post #1 seemed like nothing but light humor; i think it's a universal joke that men don't understand what women want.
21:42 September 2, 2010 by wxman
We needed a survey to determine this? One look at the princess and it should be axiomatic that a healthy hetero male is going to find her very attractive. We may as well conduct surveys to find out how many people think the sky is blue. Waste of time and money.
22:24 September 2, 2010 by Canada_Girl
@ calebian22 - My, my how you do despise women. I read your post history and I have to say your disdain for females is alarming and pathetic at the same time. Not all women fall under a blanket of whores, users and frigid. Are you aware that a woman can be any type of individual she wants regardless of your feelings and needs?

You don't appear to be unintelligent, but your narrow and biased views require an overhaul. Seriously, what woman did you so wrong that your only recourse is to {passive} aggressively vent on the internet.

Swedish men dream women is a 1'60 metre tall Thai women. They don't emasculate them, they don't hit them and they don't run off and fornicate with the guy next door. Am I right or am I right?
04:43 September 3, 2010 by DavidtheNorseman
So Swedish men find Swedish-looking women attractive...hmmm...I guess the question is what Swedish women find attractive? Most women in N. America where I am right now are simply rather mercenary - they could care little for looks other than a minimum height rather taller than their own and little fat - and prioritize size of wallet, and height of social position.

Canada_Girl,

I don't despise women, I just don't understand them. I admit to knowing that I just don't know. As an engineer, I deal well with absolutes. My experience with the fairer sex has been anything but structured.

However, here is some free advice. Any man who tells you he understands women is working an angle to remove your pants.
10:13 September 3, 2010 by LeoKinmann
and any man who tells you he understands women usually have removed the pants of many women to get there.
10:20 September 3, 2010 by calebian22
LeoKinmann,

True, but there is a huge difference between understanding women, and understanding enough about women to get them to remove their pants. That is like saying one understands string theory because one knows what an atom is.

What women want changes hourly, possible, what men want changes NEVER!! :)

43% of men have dificulty understanding women...

the other 57% have no clue whatsoever!
14:11 September 3, 2010 by LeoKinmann
@calebian22

what you said is true. however, i believe that to most men, they only want to understand women to the degree of being able to perform smooth seduction. whatever comes after that is totally irrelevant to the pick-up artists.

compared to most other western countries, sweden is not the easiest place to get laid. the guys are emasculated. you can find many more male virgins than female virgins. girls usually experience their first sex around 16, for guys. it's much later.
15:30 September 3, 2010 by MorbidMiss
Well the age of consent is only 15 and there is no age spread as in some states in America so of course 16 is normal. There are only too many dirty old men in Sweden looking for young girls. Why settle for a pimply faced male counterpart if you can get a guy with a job.
16:57 September 3, 2010 by Uncle
Men have difficulty understanding what women want because they are not interested in this information.

They also generally have difficulties to understand what people in "Sex and the city" are banging on about, what does it matter what did they eat today for lunch and why is it a problem to LOWER the toilet sit when needed. Just not interesting.

Princess is indeed cute.
17:07 September 3, 2010 by MorbidMiss
@Uncle It is the waking sleep factor. When you first awaken sometimes you are not very alert and can fall into cold water when you sit.

In my house we go a step further and have the lid down as well because it keeps the kids out of the water and so water drops do not get flung all about. (yes it really happens, every single time you flush)

1 call that Plummer already.

2 still don't get it. When we are tired we always pick that seat and do not just splash all over it. What is the problem to do the opposite?
19:51 September 3, 2010 by ceddy
Interesting, but I don't think that its isolated to Swedish men, I think its men in general.

Hardly surprising that 43% of Swedish men don't know what women want, especially if they are just looking at Swedish women who probably don't know either what they want.

But from what I have seen of Swedish women, many of them have a plan, especially when it comes to their love life. It goes like this: get married at 28, have child one at 30, child two at 32, one boy and one girl two years apart, then get this interest-free loan from bank and use it to buy a new boat or villa. When then bored with all this either divorce or buy a summer house. Unbelievable but some even seem to coordinate with their friends so they all go on maternity leave at the same time. Guess it's nice to have company but hey, you can't plan life like this.

I dated a Swedish guy once ...he wanted to know on the third date if it would work out or not as he didn't want to get hurt or waste his time. ???? Isn't the norm that you fall in love or fall into a relationship naturally or you don't? It's an emotional thing, not a strategic life plan!!
13:16 September 4, 2010 by svenskdod
Men want to fix everything, so when a woman comes to a man with a problem the man wants to fix it. This is not generally true as the woman just wants you to listen.

If we (men) can get our heads around this strange concept of not actually fixing everything, then maybe we can start to understand women.
17:08 September 4, 2010 by VanDuff
f""""""k, why the hell on planet earth would i fk with a chick who got snooze in they mouth?
21:21 September 4, 2010 by Uncle
MorbidMiss

For real? Women want the seat to be down, because all of them are so conscious of possible SARS flying around in the air? Come on....

svenskdod

why does it have to be a goal - to understand what female wants? Why not just get together with a person, whom you have fun with and who is just easy to understand, without some forceful tricks of "listening"?

I mean, if you "listen", but actually think about say, football, or "Simpsons" or boobs, while she is banging on about some biatch who said something wrong, don't you think that you should not listen and say so also?

Why do we have to adapt to females, instead of all of us, humans, deciding that chicks should spill their emotional problems on other chicks, while guys promise to spare the chicks their problems with boats, antivirus installations or memories of good times during college drinking competitions?

I've been working way too much! I haven't been able to read your newspaper (in English) for far too long!

I really don't care what the poll's said....but I have to say that I have truly enjoyed reading all the comments. All of you who comment always make me smile and brighten my day. To all the men.....I hope you never figure out what women want....where would be the fun in that! Have a great week!
18:28 October 3, 2010 by wereerew
The result seems to comply with what I have heard from Swedish women dating Swedish men. Swedish females were saying that the Swedish boyfriends whom they have been together with for one or two years were still saying to them "I like you" but "I am not sure if I love you" ...and these guys would do anything not to say "I love you/jag älskar dig".

How passionate is this (I like you but I do not love you) when you hear that from somebody you have been together with 1-2 years. The funny thing is that Swedish men continue to have a relationship with the person they are NOT in love with.

So it is not a mystery in this case that so many Swedish women are trying to find a foreign man who is full of passion, love and generosity.
