The Alliance coalition are heading for an absolute majority of the votes in the upcoming general election, according to the latest poll by Demoskop, while the Social Democrats continued their decline.

The Alliance claimed the support of 50.5 percent of the electorate in the poll, with the Red-Greens on 44 percent.

"The figures are a Moderate dream come true," said Social Democrat party secretary Ibrahim Baylan to the Expressen daily.

The Social Democrats declined by 0.9 percentage points to 29.7 percent, their lowest figure on record. The Green Party, long the force giving buoyancy to the Red-Green coalition in the polls, dropped 0.4 points to 8.5 percent.

Lars Ohly's Left Party was the only bright spot for the opposition, adding 1.1 points to rise to 5.8 percent.

The Moderates declined slightly and can thank its smaller coalition partners for the Alliance majority in the poll which was completed last Wednesday.

The Liberal Party (Folkpartiet) advanced 0.5 percent to 7.5 percent, while the Centre Party advanced 0.9 percent to 6.2 percent. The Christian Democrats gained some breathing space from the threshold for parliamentary seats, coming in at 4.9 percent after a 0.2 point climb.

"One could presume that sympathy voting has started to become established," said Anders Lindholm at Demoskop to the newspaper.

The far-right Sweden Democrats fell 0.3 percent to 4.2 percent, marginally above the threshold for parliamentary seats.

Demoskop's opinion survey interviewed 1,101 people from August 25th to September 1st 2010 and posed the question: Which party would you vote for if an election were to held today?

Africans have 'child rape gene': Sweden Democrat

(Search article on the Local)

With their true nature exposed for all sane people to see, hopes are high that the SD's days are numbered. A decrease in their support of .3 is encouraging, however, vigilance is in order.

No stone should be left unturned to reveal the SD for the grubby, nasty little party they are - the "child rape gene" story is one example, but a little bit of digging will reveal plenty more.

Expo's website (in Swedish) provides plenty of ammunition, which should be used to help stop this odious blot on the democratic process. Can only hope that their slide in the polls continues and that after Election Day they will sink into the rubbish bin of history where they belong, alongside the Nazis, KKK etc etc.

How about just looking at the Sweden Democrats website? Time for the Riksdag to be shaken up a bit. A 4% or more showing will do just that.

Sd is not an incarnation of what is wrong with democracy. Instead, democracy is the weapon we got against things we dislike, in this example SD. Every time you deny someone their right to say, think, print or argue (even crazy stuff) you take one step away from being democratic and become something awful your self. Sunlight is the best disinfection. Sweeping it under the rug just helps SD to grow. And the problems with integration have been swept under the rug for years. This action caused SD to grow. No action, improvements, changes or even suggestions have been tolerated in years. Everyone just cash in easy point by calling everything and everyone racist. The only accepted change is to throw even more money at integration. This causes it to become a hugely ineffective financial black hole. And no one dare to question it and stop it before nazis and other extremist can use this for their own gain.

Firstly may I apologise for not posting a Sweden Democrat post :-)

Looking at the bigger picture this poll does not really tell us much more than the previous poll. Both this poll (Demoskop) and yesterdays poll (Synovate) were taken over the same time period and they both agree with each other to within the poll uncertainties. Furthermore, the shifts in position of the respective parties are so small that it would take quite mathematical illiterate to draw such wide ranging conclusion from the numbers. Not that I imply that those at the Local are innumerate , I am instead sure that the Local are just repeating the innumeracy of some low-life Swedish tabloid rag such as Aftonblådet.

Still it is rather interesting all these numbers, and I shall once again crawl back under my mathematical stone and think much about them...

Woooa there cowboy, you neglected to mention that the particular quote, was a bit of sardonic commentary directly quoted from Flashback.se.

But then who am I, to let facts get in the way of your leftist smear campaign?
