Local Sweden Democrat: 'ban' practicing Muslims

Would this be the same Strömsund where SFI was gender-segregated with the female attendants sitting behind a screen out of respect for some of the (male) participants religious practices? I did read a bit about that, including about the woman of South American origin who refused to abide by that and decided to sit up front with the men. The harassment she received sounded a bit like a "hate crime" to me. The case was reported to the DO (Discrimination Ombudsman) who decided yet again that "Freedom of Religion" thumps gender discrimination.

Gender-segregation should be banned, even if someones religion says otherwise.

I am sorry, what is this article? This David Landes is very good in skipping some important stuff:

Knowing the "professionalism" of the great Aftonbladet journalists, we carefully open Wikipedia and read: "Islam is by far the dominant religion in Uzbekistan, as Muslims constitute 90% of the population according to a 2009 US State Department release."

We also read that this MUSLIM state has problems with other religions: "The Office of Public Information of Jehovah's Witnesses has documented several cases with imprisonment for teaching religion [in Uzbekistan]"...."Forum 18,... has documented raids by Uzbek police in which participants in unregistered religious services were beaten, fined, threatened and intimidated."

So, these muslims were persecuted for practicing Islam in a muslim state? If I would be this David Landes, I would go and submit resignation letter right now.

What the local and Socialdemocratic sensationalist newspaper Aftonbladet doesn't mention is that those Uzbeks were arrested in their country because they were members of an extreme islamist party called Hizb ut Tahrir that wants to establish an islamic dictatorship in Uzbekistan. Uzbekistan although being a muslim country is still ruled by a communist dictatorship who is not a big fan of crazy islamist with links to Al Qaeda. Aftonbladet likes to take things out of proportion, the Sweden Democrats are against islamization and non-western immigration but they are not racist they want immigrants who come here to assimilate and adjust to their new country. Why doesn't the local mention that a Sweden Democrat in Malmo was stabbed by left wing extremists in his own apartment after the left wing extremists had distrupted their meeting in the town square?

If muslims are so peaceful and loving as they say they are why can't they keep to themselves like other groups do, such as Catholics, South Americans, Russians, Africans, etc. It doesn't take much to offend them nowadays. I admire the Democrats for taking initiative in their cause, but I just think they're not going about it the right way when you take a closer look at this group and what they do/believe in. But someone has to do it don't they? The other parties are weak as water. I also admire the dude in Florida. I just can't understand why so many leaders are "outraged" considering what muslims do and say about other countries. If they took a look at the big picture they would see that muslims are the provocative ones.

I have a few muslim friends and while I believe that it is a peaceful religion, I also believe that a lax western society will always clash with the faith. Islam teaches alot of great things but the laws within the faith will continue to divide cultures. Some ppl truly believe that you cannot follow a faith unless you completely immurse yourself within that faith. The things we westerners will never understand like woman having to cover their hair, face, legs and arms. It's those types of laws that we have issues with because when it is brought into our culture, we see it as treating women as 2nd class citizens. So when your bring that way of life into ours we go whoa, stop the car, thats not right. In my view either you allow the Sweden Democrats full political Party Rights, include them in TV debates or you ban them on constitutional grounds and take up each and every case of “hets mot folkgrupp” / hate Speech which is contrary to the democratic spirit of the Swedish people – who after all at nine million are a very tiny minority of the some 6 billion souls, made in God's image and likeness that makes up the World's population, in 2010.

Now you changed the subject. You asked there is no church in Saudi I responded there is no mosque in Vatican. I understand these exceptions because these places have been origin of faiths. Now you talk about freedom of expression and movement that is another issue. It is decided politically and Saudi Arabia is not a politically accepted government even among Muslims even among Saudi minorities. As a matter of fact Saudi government exercise one the closest relations with western countries, that's why nobody in west complain about their records.

Yes do that but you should know that we're talking about Muslims in Europe or in the US. Saudi government won't pay a penny for what All Muslims altogether tell them! So why do you think European Muslims are responsible for that? In fact if there is anyone Saudi Government would listen to it is the White House.
