Girl, 16, charged for sex with underage boys

A teenage girl from Kungsbacka in western Sweden was charged on Tuesday with sexual abuse after having sex with two boys who were 13-years-old at the time.

Sex with minors under 15 years old is a crime that can be classified as statutory rape, but when the age difference is small, suspects are typically prosecuted for sexual abuse.
The incident took place in an apartment in Kungsbacka, a town south of Gothenburg on the west coast on March 27th, the Aftonbladet daily reported on Wednesday, adding that the girl was acquainted with the victims, who are now 14.
The girl, now 16, has admitted to the circumstances, but denied that she has committed a crime. The basis of the indictment was the testimonies of the alleged victims' mothers and they will be called to the stand when the trial begins on November 8th.
Prosecutions for these kinds of crimes are uncommon, the girl's lawyer Elisabeth Johansson told Sveriges Radio (SR) on Tuesday. She is surprised that Lithner decided to pursue this case.
"I do not believe that the law was created for these types of cases," Johansson told SR.
Detective chief inspector Inger Ohlsson of the county criminal investigation department disagreed.
"We have a law that says one should not have sex with someone else who is under 15. I think that one should follow the law regardless of whether one is a girl or boy," she told Radio Halland.
Attempts by The Local to reach both Lithner and Johansson were unsuccessful.

Some laws seems unfair, but living in a country, means living by it's laws!! But they should of course always be under scrutiny and discussed!! But if you want to change the laws, do it by democratic means, or move to a country witch laws suits you better!

but this girl who was 15 had sex with 2 13 yr olds will probably get jail time. While the guy sued the police for false arrest and got paid from them.
Outrageous and the law was not meant for this.
That's why in teh states the age of consent is generally 18, some states have it at 17 or 16. But an 18 year old teenager would not get in trouble if they hook up with a 16 yr old. Generally if the person is under 18 the other person cannot be more than 3 yrs older.

I can understand the need of the prosecutor who will always be looking for career enhancing cases but again, what has happened to common sense?
Now, when this girl is 50 years old, these boys will turn 48 years old. They'll have something to talk about as they age.

The sexual roles of humans are assymetric as a consequence of biology. Women stake a much higer risk in sex since they are the part getting pregnant and with a child. A man can run away.
Because of this, our roles are divided: men want - women choose. This cause a whole new layer of complexities in many levels.
So if a 15 year old boy would have had sex with two 13 year old girls - at the risk of carrying a child, the physical pain and scarring of giving birth, the social stigma and possible ostracizing, giving up school and career and so forth - all the while the girls would only get cheered by their peers - then yes, I suppose you would read the same comments in this section.
Of course the parents should be concerned and get involved, especially with the girl. We really don't want 15 year old girls having sex, but why bring the police in? This is just retarded. I am for grounding them, extra chores, whatever. But criminal prosecution??? Come on!

Come on. Don't buy into that notion that their is no difference to between the sexes. A thirteen year old boy, does not get abused by a 15 year old girl. It is PC to say that there is no difference and anyone who says diffferently is a hypocrite, but the fact remains, a thirteen year old boy gets worked up when the wind blows.
