Sex-addict pastor defrocked for prostitute frolic

A Church of Sweden pastor in Gothenburg has lost the right to practice as a pastor after admitting to buying sex from a prostitute.

"This means in practice that he is unable to work as a pastor," Margareta Wicander, a lawyer for the diocese, told the Borås Tidning (BT) daily.
The pastor, who is from Sjuhärad in western Sweden, has been suspended since the revelations emerged and became known to his church employers.
He admitted to the soliciting offence in a letter to the diocese, claiming that he suffers from a serious sex addiction that he is attempting to deal with, aided by a colleague who also suffers from the condition.
The pastor will be reconsidered for a position if he is successful in his battle to purge himself of his sex addiction.
While he is currently employed as a pastor, it will be up to the parish of Sjuhärad to decide whether to reassign him or offer redundancy.
The priest was caught red-handed by police officers who had followed him and witnessed how he picked up a prostitute in his car in Gothenburg.
According to BT the priest had just managed to equip himself with a condom when the police unit exposed him.
This is not the first time that the pastor's sex habits have landed him in hot holy water.
Back in 2005 he was caught surfing for pornography using one of the church's computers, an incident that was referred to in the diocese's deliberations.

Hahahaha...one actually needs a license to repeat fairy tales in front of a group of people...oh, that's a good one. Because a license really legitimizes it...
You are thinking of catholic priests, this is Church of clowns...umm, I mean Church of Sweden where they are allowed to marry even people of the same sex.
He is the first priest to have an interest in sex with adults, instead of children.
What the hell is he being attacked for?
Make him pope.
Give him an award.
Hold him up as an example to other priests.

You contribute very often to stories on The Local, but from every indication, you do not even bother to read thoroughly through them before doing so...what a shame.
It is said a priest from the Church of Sweden. What makes you think that he should be made Pope? Or in your little mind, you now seem to think the Church of Sweden and the Catholic Church are one? Get your facts right before you go around running your mouth.
It is evident that you do not like the Catholic Church or its leader the Pope, but he still oversees over a billion christians all over the world. He does not need your approval.
