" I have recently become addicted to a website called Stockholms Källan. The site is an amazing treasure trove of historical images of Stockholm. You can search by names or locations to find old photos and documents relating to whatever you’re interested in. This image is from a 1960’s short film called “Ditt Stockholm” (“Your Stockholm”). You already have people sick. To put it politely, that means they will be using the toilet....a LOT. The feces will contain the oocytes that can infect others and once flushed will end up back in the water system. Crypto lives through standard water processing, as well evidenced freezing will not kill the oocytes. Boiling your water (even for your ice cubes) is the only way, unless the plants are equipped for ozonation of the water, which they aren't....it is an expensive process and takes a while to set up. Milwaukee didn't put theirs in until way after their own deadly outbreak of the stuff, and are one of the few plants in the US that does it. I'm pretty sure Ö-sund isn't anywhere near equipped for that yet.
People, please boil all your water. This will be your only chance to keep from being infected, and you'll probably need to do this for several weeks, maybe even a month or so until the crypto runs it's course at this point....if you have small children, or are elderly make SURE to do this....crypto can be fatal. I am immuno-suppressed and since acquiring that condition have always been warned about the disease as it can be fatal in people like myself...cryto reproduces rapidly and in those with weak or underdeveloped immune systems (elderly, children, immunodeficient individuals) the parasite reproduces faster than your body can attack it so it is "incurable" and leads to death in those cases.
Take care of yourselves during this time, remember...taking precautions and boiling your water is the smart thing to do.
