'External force' behind Swedish bird death

Published: 6 Jan 11 10:11 CET | Print version
Online: http://www.thelocal.se/31278/20110106/

The cause of death of the jackdaws found dead on the streets of Falköping, in central Sweden, was external force, not infection or disease, showed the autopsy completed on Wednesday.

Five of the dead birds were autopsied by the National Veterinary Institute, (Statens veterinärmedicinska anstalt, SVA) and results showed that the birds had died of acute blunt force.

According to Marianne Elvander, zoologist at SVA, the jackdaws were killed by severe internal bleeding. None of the birds showed sign of infection or illness.

"Our assessment is that they weren't carrying any contagious disease, but figuring out exactly what did kill them, other than being some sort of external force, is rather outside our area," said Olov Andersson, SVA's information officer, to TT news agency.

"What comes to mind is that they may have flown up, and been hit, or something of the sort," he speculated, a theory defended by most experts.

The birds may have been frightened by something in the middle of the night, flown about blindly, and died in collisions with different objects in the dark.

"Jackdaws overnight in trees in huge flocks. If something scares them, hundreds of birds can take to the skies as one," Anders Wirdheim of the Swedish Ornithological Society (Sveriges ornitologiska förening, SOF) told TT.

The jackdaws were discovered on a street in Falköping, just before midnight on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday. In total, between 50 and 100 dead birds were found.

Similar events have recently been reported from at least two US locations. A few days ago, 5000 birds were found dead in a town in Arkansas, and some days later a similar mass death occurred in Louisiana, as 500 birds plummeted from the sky.

Lightning is a highly specific killer in a defined point. It does not kill over wide areas.

Disease would lead to the birds being spread over such a large geographical area they would not be noticed.

Fireworks would also cause the birds to scatter. Scared animals travel in all directions. Fire several shotguns at a flock of crows and they will disperse, not maintain a narrow flight pattern.

The bird kills are weird.

They are not natural.

Something is badly wrong with how this is being presented.

The local would do well to actually go do some digging on this, instead of doing web searches and badly translating through google.

I agree, this is very strange, I would think about something supernatural, or perhaps alien....call me crazy, couldnt care less, its just not normal nor natural and possible rational explanations are non existant, nothing like this ever happened... more or less at the same time in 2 different countries so far away from each other, open your minds people....
11:26 January 6, 2011 by glamshek
Thats what I was referring to. If it was fireworks, well aeroplanes populate the skies for almost a century now. So definitely its not fireworks on 3rd or 4th of Jan. What some external force is behind it ? If I say anything from religion, people will again start barking. Ok, use your heads and give a sensible explanation other than religious or behavioral resons. I am sure you will not be able to.

The cause of the bird kills in Arkansas and Louisiana were also said to be "blunt force trauma". Could this be a reprisal of the Mao-Sparrow purges?
12:24 January 6, 2011 by unseen
what is natural? all what we have nowadays were aliens technology like 30 years ago!

someone is trying so hard to convince us otherwise and it seems it works!!!

Come on guys! It looks like HAARP is behind all this.

Look for this on Youtube:

-HAARP CBC Broadcast Weather control part 1

-HAARP CBC Broadcast Weather control part 2

Governments have secretly spraying the sky all around the world with aluminium and others metals. Look for "What in the world are they spraying" It is well documented that China and Russia, (but surely other countries, starting with USA and Sweden actually) change the weather with spraying chemicals and using HAARP alike technologies. Hence, we know animals have a kind of 6th sense, a radar, and normally avoid bad weather. But if some people play with the weather, animals are doomed. And we are next, make no mistake. God has nothing to do in all this, other than if God exists, he should stop those mad scientists who play mother nature.
13:07 January 6, 2011 by UScitizen
How stupid are these people at SVA? The birds died in the air and immediately fell, hitting the ground. THAT was the force that caused the severe internal bleeding. They were already dead!!! Since a lot of Swedish people think that the Swedish government is controlled by the American government, I supposed America sent the birds over here to die, just to keep the connection.
13:09 January 6, 2011 by spidernik84
@sebseb: guess what? I thought about HAARP as well.

The areas are too far away from each other for a disease or fireworks stuff (btw: we celebrate every year, and I never heard about such incidents).

Some may disbelief this 2012 things (I'm skeptik as well), but if we think about floods, earthquakes, climate change (either caused by humans or not), economic and social crysis, oil drilling platforms incidents and so on, you must admit something is just damn worrying.
13:40 January 6, 2011 by sebseb
How many people do not believe in Haarp and Chemtrails.

As I wrote, Haarp is well documented. A lot from alternative medias, but also on mainstream media, like Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

And for the chemtrails it is the same.

Google to find this article on the BBC website " Russian appeal of 'weather control' "

In this article, you will read "He has seeded clouds over Moscow on important state holidays for many years. He says the Russians use two different methods to try to drive the rain away. "

In the article, Russians openly say they spray Silver iodide in the sky.

Chemtrails are real. I see them on a weekly, and sometimes daily basis in the Goteborg.

If you create or move clouds, it affects the weather, the natural system.

I feel like an alien, because I don't understand why the mainstream media don't look further into that direction. You have crazy people playing with the weather. It has been going on for decades and it is becoming global.

Anyway,my prediction is that people will rather believe that GOD and Aliens are behind it, or some fire crackers.

But to me, it is obvious: Chemtrails and HAARP, over a long period, phoque up the system.

We are next. People who got the vaccine full of mercury, they will be the first affected by the Haarp radio waves because metal conduct waves.

It looks a lot of crazy people are doing everything to make the 2012 prophecy happens.

Don't buy into the GOD thing. God, if it was real, would stop those crazy.

I think its a bit odd that not one Swedish reporter mentioned a similar phenomenon in Arkansas on 3 January (birds and fish). The BBC picked it up.

17:01 January 6, 2011 by Douglas Garner
I reviewed the HAARP data online and cannot go with that due to the altitude involved. How about windshere? Could these animals have been dashed into the ground by a wind... it would account for the localization and the blunt force. No UFOs or specific targeting by the gods or chemtrails or jet planes required.

call me crazy or whatever , but I strongly believe that this is some kind of experiment from the military to disorient other pilots or is another way from God to tell us about the end is coming
19:05 January 6, 2011 by Albert Cahal
Anybody who was around in the 50's and 60's knows it was "swamp gas" or the "planet Venus" that that killed these birds. It was absolutely not gov't experiments..such as sound canons, or chemical sprays..etc. AC

It has to be the USA governments secret planes that can cloak themselves. Since Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana is a flight path for some of the secret aircraft and the birds show blunt force trauma, sounds like to me they hit the sound waves. Now I have to ask myself if Sweden knew it had visitors. Just a theory.
22:11 January 6, 2011 by mikmak

In regards to comment 22......

LOL. Eating road salt? Sure thing if you believe everything you hear. Sounds like the truck driver wanted attention. There is no way to hit even 15 birds at one time unless they are deaf, dumb, and blind.

19:28 January 7, 2011 by donnellan
This is U.S.A. here, they are saying that it is a storm distubance, that caused the birds fatalities.
22:54 January 7, 2011 by James A F Compton
Get with the program, people! Get with the program! We here in America know that this world-wide concurrent phenomenon (which included a lot of dead fish from Ireland to Japan) was caused by a large fireworks display over Little Rock, Arkansas. Both ABC and CBS news said so, so that HAS to be true. The same thing applies to the Norwegian spiral fireworks display which lingered for several weeks last season over Narvik.
17:08 January 8, 2011 by SJack
Hey folks, just in case you don't know, the birds were dead before they hit the ground! All of them! That's everywhere. So, being taken up by air turbulence and getting so cold they dropped to the ground and died by impact is not a possibility. If you also haven't noticed, the news has quit reporting on the findings in the USA.
22:24 January 8, 2011 by sarlight2011
Black Bird deaths in the US. It has also been determined that the birds were scared, have poor night vision, and therefore crashed into cars and buildings. The birds showed bruises etc. and that verified their death was by impact. Here is the article I found on DIG:

http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-01-wisconsin-lab-blackbird-die-off.html
03:22 January 9, 2011 by jenaardell
Hmmm hydraulic fracking is occuring right now in the same regions of Arkansas where birds and fish are dying... AND Shell has completed drilling Sweden's first shale gas exploration well!! Let's put 2+2 together folks!!

Research the amount of earthquakes that have been occuring lately in Arkansas near the drilling sites. This shouldn't be a surprise to ANYONE, especially so-called scientists and experts.

Natural gas companies are messing with the tectonic plates and exposing magnetic fields, which birds rely on to migrate. They are drilling for natural gas ALL OVER THE PLACE now, including offshore Brazil.

TAKE ACTION AGAINST FRACKING!! Tell your local representative to support the Frac Act. Find out how you can make a difference here: www.gaslandthemovie.com

I honestly believe this is the cause. The megatons of aluminum, barium and iodine being spread into our atmosphere across the globe on a daily basis probably doesn't help either. The sky has become a NATO science experiment. :( We need to demand answers and BAN GEOENGINEERING TOO.
22:12 January 9, 2011 by endorphine
I too believe that hydraulic fracking is a potential reason for the bird deaths in Arkansas, Louisiana, and Sweden. The volatile organic compounds in the gasses that are literally pushed through the soil during fracking of natural gas wells can be lethal to birds and humans.
