Dancing With the Stars (like American Idol/Swedish 'Idol') is based on a British format. So really, if one follows the previous poster's line of thinking and draws broader conclusions on the basis of the transfer of television formats, both the US and Sweden are actually being Britified... The Empire strikes back ;-)
