The publisher of the Left Party's official newspaper has apologised to King Carl XVI Gustaf for publishing a recent book review that alleged he visited prostitutes with tax money, a claim not made in a recent biography about him.

No sarcasm or sharp wit this time? Gee, I guess you used your weekly quota in your remark about my last post on the eariler story. That's ok, I'm sure you can come up with something if you tr real hardy. I can almost see the smoke coming out of your ears now.
But you must not have a very fun life, unlike me.... living in this beautiful country, not having to work, owning a home in the US that I can go back to whenever I choose. You must have to scrape just to get by. No wonder you have such an attitude!
If you do not have a job here andhave a home in the US that you can go back to whenever you choose,
Please do us all a favour and leave NOW.
Maybe, we should follow the Egyptians and start a UScitizen out campaign
Are you as jealous of me as JulieLou is? You can't take a little well-deserved criticism either, can you? I usually go back home for two months in the summer. Want to come with me? No, you couldn't handle it. Stay here, be a good boy and chill out with JulieLou. You two were made for each other.
I'm still ticked about the tax money used in the restoration of the church for the princess. I vote the king and whole monarchy step down, just think how much tax payer money will be spared for more important needs of the Scandinavians.
But what will Sweden do for a mascot?
Hire some actors like dineyland has for the enchanted castle. This way the tourists will still have a glimpse of a royal family, at least during the peak tourist season between the hours of 9 to 5, monday thru saturday, and on special events.
England still has "Real" Royalty to this day, where decisions are made in parlament. This King in Sweden gave up those rights back in the 70's.
So can someone please justify their existance today?
Just Sayin' : )
Members of the Swedish Royal Family are - believe it or not - and contrary to popular belief - HUMAN BEINGS.
As a human being we are all prone to making mistakes, wrong decisions and doing other things that a majority does not approve of.
So HM The King has erred in some manner - SO WHAT - and has presumeably paid for things with the tax payer's money - SO WHAT - he may have had affairs - SO WHAT
Some people consider that the Royal Family are "Holier than Thou" but that title is held by only ONE person and He is not here on earth at present.
The King has the right to do what he considers fit and it is no other persons business what so ever. BUT having said that it is the mentality of every SWEDE to put their nose into other peoples business which inturn makes everything "our". business.
An earlier comment regarding that the British Royalty as being "real Royalty" is rather an idiotic statement. The British Royal Family has had their trials and tribulations along the years - SO WHAT. There is NO such thing as 'real' Royalty - one is either ROYAL or not. Like a woman cannot be a 'little pregnant' - she is either pregnant or not!
I sincerely hope that HM The King will take that Vänsterpress to court and sue them for MILLIONS then have the company dissolved and all their assets ceased and given to the Tax Payer.
I am very old fashioned as I was brought up to respect the Royal Family and I will continue to do that. They are an inspiration to us all and they DO attract revenue for the country. God Save the King.
