Swedish football star attacked by girl gang

A Swedish football striker was attacked by a gang of women following a dispute over a food order at a Gothenburg café early on Sunday morning, according to a media report on Monday.

Swedish striker Mathias Ranégie, who plays for Gothenburg side BK Häcken in Sweden's top-flight Allsvenskan league, and midfielder Gustav Svensson, who plays for Bursaspor in Bursa, northwestern Turkey south of Istanbul, were dining at Café Tintin in central Gothenburg in the early hours of Sunday morning.

While waiting for their food, a row erupted with a gang of seven women in their early 20s, newspaper Expressen reported on Monday. According to the report, the women had placed the same order as the players.

"They wanted to take our food and started arguing with us, yelling a lot of shit and behaving aggressively," Ranégie told Expressen.

Police were called to the scene at 6.10am to defuse the situation. Ranégie and Svensson were ejected from the diner and were about to leave when the women spilled out on the street after them, the report said.

A police patrol witnessed a woman in her early 20s punching Ranégie in the face, resulting in blood gushing out of his eyebrow, according to the report.

"The police sat in their car across the street. I got a good hit and have a big scar on my face now. But what should I have done? I could not fight back against a girl," he told Expressen.

The woman who threw the punches is currently under suspicion of assault, while the others were reported by the footballers to the police for mobbing.

Typical swedish young women. Two friends who are immigrant origin told me how their girlfriends slap and kick them like Bruce Lee, one even threaten to use bottle to cut his manhood. What a life.

Never stand between a woman and her food & even though Tin Tin is awesome, it's not exactly lean food either. I hope she get's fat.

"The police sat in their car across the street."

Maybe the Swedish police are scared of Swedish women after hearing what happened to Tiger Woods!!!

@Willissteel

Now wait a minute with that line about Swedish girls only abusing Swedish men. No one believed that story Tiger told about how his face got cut and bruised. And with all his other women, you can't say that he "don't have the thing that dangling between their legs!"

What a bunch of trailer trash hoes. One would think these food fights should only take place in a soup kitchen or bread line.

thanks god I dont live in sweden. After the wikileaks scandal I know how dangerous this women can be. I am starting to hate this country and its unjust laws. I would have punched the bitches
15:59 February 7, 2011 by Swinglish 1
If somebody punches you in the face you have a right to defend yourself! I don't think it matters if it is a woman! Punch like a man then expect to be punched back like a man! If a woman slaps you thats a different story any man should be able to take a slap! but for a woman to punch like that? I personally would have knocked her out with out a second thought fairs fair!

I wonder if it is accurate to call/consider "Swedish women" as "women", Simply because there's nothing in common.

Actually, when I talk to some Israeli ladies (My friends) and I mentioned "Swedish women", they get offended.

Oh c'mon now. Not all Swedish girls are nasty. My Swedish wife hardly ever beats me up anymore.

@Swinglish 1 Where I come from only two kinds of males hit girls: gays and "I feel entitled" bullies. Of course if she throws a drink in face that's a different story.

Good for the Girls for standing up for themselves.

Nothing I like more than seeing how "manly" swedish women are and how unmanly Swedish men are.
07:58 February 9, 2011 by gnawu
OMG wenddiver... you congratulate some women for punching a person in the face...after chasing them out on to the street! What is wrong with you? You are no less a cave dweller than she...

C'mon now, something's not right about this article...I mean c'mon, I live in Florida "White Trash Capital" of the world - 80% of the scary Walmart pictures you see online are taken in Florida & this would NEVER happen here!

Ive been to Sweden many, many times & yeah, when Swedes party, they get pretty crazy, but not like this, so these two guys are just sitting there eating, minding their own business and 7 women in their 20s burst in & just start beating them up? Sorry, this smells funny.....
00:32 February 10, 2011 by Swinglish 1
@tanskalainen

Not sure what your point is here?
04:38 February 10, 2011 by wenddiver
@gnawu-Definetely, Women have every right to defend their food or anything else. I met my current girlfriend at my MMA (Mixed Martial Arts class) where I fell in love with her graceful Muy Thai kick-boxing. She is a classic English Rose, so yah, her being able to kick the hell out of punks reallysurprised/ impressed this American. I think everybody feels better about themselves who participates in a good fight. Humans are wired that way, your suposed to enjoy punching your enemies. I wish there were more girl gangs, chasing miscreants down the street.

@JohnnyDee- Try the panhandle.

Trolling again I see.

By posting these sad xenophobic comments, with the login name you have chosen, you are letting your country and your people down.

You should change your login name, you are just embarrassing.

"Where I come from only two kinds of males hit girls: gays and "I feel entitled" bullies." "tanskalainen" The writer uses a Finnish word to describe himself as a Dane. This seems odd. And 'Swinglish' writes: Where I come from only two kinds of males hit girls: gays and "I feel entitled" bullies. Rubbish, though some gays are extreme misogynists. I

"And while I'm at it, let me mention something that struck me about The Local's introduction to this issue: It remains to be seen how the film will go down with the movie-going public, and how, if at all, the film may affect public discourse about "Swedishness" and the country's relationship with Nazism at a time when Sweden continues to grabble with a new type of transformation - to a globalised, multi-cultural society" ... grapple: Middle English grappel grappling hook, from Old French *grappelle, diminutive of grape hook . First Known Use: 1601;grabble: Dutch grabbelen, from Middle Dutch, frequentative of grabben

First Known Use: circa 1580. The voiced b d g and the unvoiced letters p t k in Indo-European lead to this avoidable confusion.

Let's see if I have the facts reported correctly.

Dispute over food oder. Police are called. 2 footballers ejected from restaurant. While police watch from car as footballers attacked by female thugs.

Sweden has such a great criminal justice system! (/scarcasm).

What really happened?

Were the police were in the car involved with the ejection of two from the resaurant? If so did the police to try to settle things down by dealing with two rather than a larger number of women? Were they afraid that the women would claim sexual harrasment by the police? Rather than getting to the bottom of what happened, did the police just go for what they thought was easiest? The police then possibly decided to just watch the attack for a while, so they could arrest someone after enough hard evidence (blood, wounds)were available to document what happened.

I thought that when you called the police they were suppose to protect people and maintain both law and order, not just take the course of least resistance.

The more I read about Sweden and its legal system the more I shake my head. SHAME.
