REFLECTIONS OF A TWITTER VIRGIN…. »
"I confess to having been reluctant to embrace Twitter. But I confess myself a bit of a convert. The great TV critic Clive James once said about “Dallas”, “I came to mock but I stayed to pray”. I wouldn’t go that far, but I have found my first two weeks on Twitter (@hmapauljohnston) both fun and informative. It’s been..." READ »

May God bless her for it.
Be careful out there folks.
but it does not matter anymore I am getting out of here as soon as I can.
Dude! You must be a yankee. This is a beautiful country with a lot of wonderful people, both immigrants and Swedes. Maybe you're hanging out in the wrong places. I always speak to others I hear speaking English even when I can tell by their accents that they aren't Americans.
Are you Canadian? So's my wife. Canada's a great country too!
Well, I'd say I'm 'Canadian @ Heart'; it's my favorite nation. Right now I still live in the Netherlands, but that's an extremely hectic and stressfull little country. I prefer to be in Sweden in the spring and be in Florida in the winter, together with the other 'Snowbirds'... ;-)
Btw, where do you live right now, in Sweden or in the US ?
They're advising drivers to leave their cars at home. Shouldn't they just advise everyone to STAY at home? What's the use of leaving your car if the buses, trams and trains are mostly standing still? Unless you walk or bike to work. But with these winds, I wouldn't advise that...
Wish I could watch the Rallye live this year - with this storm it must make a very interesting race!
Sorry, I got off for awhile. I live in Bromma, just outside Stockholm and have been here two years. I go back to the states June/july each year.
@hilt_m
I helped a neighbor dig her car out this morning. I hope she got to work ok. I did a little walking befor that and gave up.
"It is deplorable, they could have ploughed during the night, there is something called 'planning ahead',"
Obviously a city dweller - expecting everything on demand
We live on a 3 km long gravel road - the snowplough was out at midnight - we still couldn't get out this morning - too much drifted snow - some people should engage brain before speaking - It is winter after all and this is to be expected if there is severe weather. Took an hour this morning to get to feed our horses 8m from the house - was easier getting the kids to school on their skies - 4km away
That's nice, being able to travel..
We like to do that too (I've send you a message about it).
Sweden is a great country to travel, unless there's too much snow....
5 hours or not - I love Sweden!
Almost time to go home now and I hope this journey is quicker! (and if its not - I still love Sweden!)
