Two drunken men decided to test a knife-proof vest at a party in southern Sweden late Saturday night.

While the first test was a success, the second blow resulted in injury.

One of the men involved, who is reportedly in his 20s, was taken to the hospital after being stabbed.

The incident occurred after the two somewhat boozed men decided to test a newly purchased piece of armor, reported Sveriges Radio (SR).

According to reports, the two men involved were at the same party in Vittsjö, north of Hässleholm, when they began to discuss the man’s new protective vest.

By then, the men had “drunk a lot,” said police.

Having decided to test the protective vest, one of the men took a knife and stabbed it.

The vest worked.

When he repeated the test, he goofed and missed the man’s vest, striking him where he was not protected.

It is unclear where the wounded man was stabbed.

He was taken to the hospital and treated for minor injury.

The incident occurred just before midnight on Saturday night.

"Is stupidity part of the genetic make up of Swedes?"

Considering that swedes share their genes with the rest of humanity, I'd have to answer with a resounding YES! We may be the most intelligent species (not hard when we made the rules), but we're still not very good at it.

Not sure if a stab wound is really preferable to a bullet wound.

@ reason, guess it depends on what is on the pointy end. @ Sarah Palin, are you the real pitbull, hockey puck? :Got any Nekkid pictures?

@ UScitizen: When I was in the marines ( camp lejune, N.C.) we had two guys who decided to test out their new flack jackets. Nobody was killed, but the guy who took the shot (.45 caliber) was pretty messed up. They weren't even drunk! @volvoman9: stop messing with my gal, I saw her first!

Alcohol was involved? I'm shocked...yet marijuana is still illegal.
