No, you can fight and shut down sites in Sweden,,, but you cannot win even in "just Sweden" because the biggest torrent site is out there and everyone knows it:Google.
Type
[Audio-Album-name] .torrent
(replacing Audio-Album-name with the name of the album of course) or
[move name] .torrent
into Google's search box and press enter and see how many results you get.
Technology will not stop progressing because of stupid laws that were dreamed up by corrupt and people who lack morals. Not in the internet age and not when it concerns the internet.
"why would a Swede download locally when there are so many available internationally? "
No real reason but it looks good in a press release when the anti-piracy scum want to strut around a bit. The internet is global, and not limited to one tiny or one large country.
The pirate bay shows up exactly the same if you access it from India, America or Sweden... as does Demoniod, ISOhunt etc
Shutting down one torrent site in one country is like cutting down a tree in the middle of the Amazon, it will be missed about as much and just a matter of time before that void is filled again.
