Illegal immigrants to Europe, should be deported back to where they came from.

If someone is a genuine businessperson or worker seeking to do business in Sweden or anywhere else in Europe, they should be given a working visa and freely welcomed.

Those people should only be welcomed into Europe, if it can be shown that particular skill is not available in any of the EC countries first.

We should be concentrating on getting Europeans jobs first.

We should nto be hiring non-Europeans at the expense of Europeans.

If someone sneeks into the country, after passing through 20 other countries to then seek asylum, they should be deported immediately.

If they are willing to create new companies then yes I believe they should be allowed in.

If they are coming to feed off the system then deport them back to thier own country.

Don't really understand What the Swedish Government want, Whether they are looking to give relief to Swedish Tax Payers or they wish to populate Sweden with immigrants (doesn't matter legal , Illegal). At one side, they have almost halted Non-EU International Students by fee, which were still Educated, were not a burden at Kommuns (in shape of monthly fund) and not really found in illegal activities.

On the other hand, Importing tons of relatively Uneducated and illegal immigrants to Sweden with supporting of Kommuns funding.

They really need to look closely their objectives and make plans accordingly.

One surefire way to get more of something is to reward it .

IS it me or does the word "Illegal" mean something different these days? If I go and punch a policeman or park my car illegally, I will be fined and could be sent to prison or even deported back to the UK. Yet, if I work as an illegal immigrant in Sweden...probably working on the black market and avoiding taxes and taking a legitimate job from a "resident" then I can still get healthcare etc without penalty. So, I then tell my friends outside Sweden and hey presto, we make the situation worse and in turn the Government will not make any additional resources availabel to handle this and PLAY RIGHT into the arms of the Swedish Democrats, which I believe we don't want.

It makes me think that the lunatics are running the asylum. Let's remove ID, personal numbers, borders, local Government and just allow everyone to live and work where they please and enjoy the benefits. In fact, why don't we pay everyone to move here and if you're a Swedish resident, then penalise us for following the rules!

I had to double-check in the dictionary, but it's what I thought:

"illegal / adjective: prohibited by law; against the law; unlawful; illicit; also, not authorized or sanctioned, as by rules"

therefore illegal immigrants should be fined and/or jailed and/or removed from the swedish soil, just like in any other country. But instead they will be given money (through free healthcare and education), welcomed to the country and allowed to live and work like anybody else?

As it was sad earlier, "legal" resident of sweden have to follow the rules, but illegal ones are exempted from it, and rewarded in not doing it?

What is the motivation for this? I'm sure the vast majority of illegal immigrants won't turn out to be a productive work force for the country. I wish politician would ask themselves a few questions before coming up with laws like that: "Will it benefit the country at any level?" "Will the majority of the swedes approve of it?" "Is it legal and just?" if you get a NO for all this questions, then you should probably flush the idea down the toilets.

So what's the point of going to the trouble of entering Sweden legally if you can get the same rights by coming in illegally?

From what I have noticed, the Swedish Media Industry regularly puts out sensational material with bent truths referred to as 'a different perspective' to get the population engaged, resulting in more citations and traffic which translates to more money. I read the article but I am not sure if the new policy is designed to increase immigration from outside of europe or decrease it ,or keep immigrations levels about the same while increasing benifits for immigrants who are without papers?

Our only family resides in Sweden ,daughter in-law Danish, son English and grandaughter born in Sweden .However should we wish to live near our family we would have to have private health care which as retired pensioners is too expensive .We have both worked 40 years and paid into our own countries health system and we understand that we are not entitled to any thing from another country's health system as we have not paid in . . However if we were to come as dependents that would put the financial responsibility onto our family who would have to agree to pay for our health care which we would not do . This seems reasonable until reading that illegal immigrants with no family or cultural ties to Sweden will be welcomed with open arms , feel a bit miffed .

Very interesting stuff. My Swedish wife and I have been together 19 years and have two children 18 and 6 both born in the UK. We lived in and worked in Sweden for 10 years before moving back to the UK.Even though my wife has worked in the UK and never claimed any benefits until now, it seems she is not entitled to job seekers allowance or any other handouts.

How is that somebody from a non EU country or as a migrant can come and claim benefits without contributing anything to UK economy and live of the British taxpayer.Is it me or am I right in feeling ticked off.

I guess I don't get the math. Unless every one of sweden's 9M people are millionaires (dollar millionaires, not kronor millionaires), how does this small country with a small population intend on absorbing anybody and their family from any third world country that decides to buy a plane ticket up here? I have read some of the comments here and I am not surprised even though it is a bit sad the way some people prefer to come and display their overt ignorance for the whole world to see.

Okay so Sweden has decided to be kind and nice to other people in need and some of you have reservations. Rightly so, afterall who would want to be taken by surprise in his own household. But let's get some facts straight.

What do you think my great grandfathers were thinking when you were kidnapping them to come and WORK for you!

#2. After all these years of inflicting such pains on us, you have not even compensated us for the wrongs you did. Infact, you are still enslaving us economically. (Afterall, slave trade was all about economics). You are still coming to buy my cocoa seedlings at a cheaper rate (no, your own rate) and then you bring it back to me at a price beyond me which then encourages people to do what they have to do.

#3. This has led us to come to you and beg for loans. Loans you give to us at a higher interest rate and then you impose your own kind of politics which is capital intensive. That has led to corruption, erode our cultural lives and many more. Why do you think there are a lot of kidnappings in Africa? How come the Ogoni people in Nigeria cannot farm anymore because your desire for oil is polluting their land and taking their livelihood away.

Take the three reasons (there are many more) into consideration and think about it. If only you will be fair to us. If only you will honestly deal with us like you deal with your kinds. If only you will leave us to have our own unique political system, maybe, just maybe, I would be back in my continent basking in sunshine instead of having heavy clothes on me.

You sow what you reap, the bible says. You sowed something and here we are. You came to us in the name of God and now, we are here telling you about this same God you told us about and to share in the profit of what you took from us.

Sweden is way worse off than the US. Illegals aren't being incentivized and given an open permission to invade at will by Congress. They don't get the dole and they aren't able to start companies which is insane. At worst they are ignored and even that's changing...

More importantly, US hispanic immigrants INTEGRATE quickly because they aren't religious fanatics and they are sane and actually want to work and better themselves. Sweden has a much more sinister invader who view them as infidels to exploit just like the Koran tells them to.

Be realistic for once and understand that, the western world are the fundamental problems in Africa. Tell me, who came to divide Africa? Do you know the whole of West Africa has a shared heritage? The local language spoken in Ghana and Togo are similar, so also is Benin Republic and Nigeria. What are you saying here. Was it not for economic reasons that there was a partition for Africa? The mexican illegal immigrant is primarily a farm worker who is not educated. The mexicans do not intergrate at all. They totally keep to themselves. For better our worse , sweden is on the same path as the U.S. Had you told an american 35 years ago that the white poulation would become a minority population within the span of a lifetime they would have laughed. It is fact now that the under 15 yr. old population in the US is a majority non- white. The border region is a war like zone. Right now the U.S.is feeding more than 100 countries with free grain shipments. If this were to stop today those countries would go HUNGRY. This whole finger pointing at the white devil colonizers who, 500 years ago, sailed off to some far off african land and captured humans to use as slaves is, yes, deplorable. It wasn't like the entire continent of africa was a peaceful garden of eden till the white devils appeared. It was savage, brutal, and...yes...there were slaves. Comment: Maybe it's worth reminding some people here that the slave trade, appalling as it was (and still is, especially in e.g. some middle eastern counties) was NOT all down to 'westerners'. The western slavers operating in Africa bought most of their slaves from rulers of native tribes who had picked up the 'produce' in raids on - or full scale wars with - neighbouring tribes - or from the Arab slave traders who were at the same game, at least as far as Africa is concerned, way before the Europeans got round to it (and apparently still are). My home town of Bristol had a thriving slave trade with Ireland in the 1100s, long before its involvement with the Africa/West Indies and America triangle. Every nation for all time has been (or still is) guilty to a greater or lesser extent. My POINT is that atrocities have been committed en masse against groups of Europeans, for centuries ALSO by other Europeans. Horrible atrocities. Just like you poor helpless Africans.

Except, Westerners aren't marauding the land raping and killing and then blaming dead Hapsburgs or Nazis or Soviets for it. I don't see Polish people committing genocide after their years under both the Nazis and the Soviets. Just Africans.

You justify the crime, violence and corruption in Africa as the fault of dead Europeans, not the particular African people who commit them. And so, it will continue forever.

Have you ever met a Mexican immigrant illegal or not? The majority are some of the nicest, down to earth people you can meet. A large number of them keep to themselves and just travel from farm to farm but many move to cities and integrate quite well.

There are gang members and crimes commited occasionally and that sucks but it's a small percentage of immigrants that are involved in that. Sometimes the crimes commited are seen more on the news because if they criminal can make it back to Mexico without being caught they're safe since Mexico won't extradite them.

You're also really wrong saying that most Americans don't want Mexicans there at all. Most Americans just want them to come legally so that they'll be responsible for taxes and any crimes commited just like the rest of the citizens. You can't blame people for wanting a better life for their families, you can blame them for breaking the law though.

Well, I tried to respond to the earlier comments about Mexicans in the USA vs 'a certain group' here in Sweden but it was censored so I'll just talk about Mexicans in the USA.

As a person who grew up in L.A. I can attest that Soultraveler's comments are 100% spot on. Mexicans come to the USA looking for one thing. Work. They bring almost no baggage other than a propensity to have a lot of kids. But the point is, you won't find 95% unemployment rates in Mexican-populated towns in the US. You also won't find all of the religious and lifestyle baggage with Mexican immigrants. The impact of Mexican immigration has been a positive for the US. Legal or otherwise. Though I do prefer legal immigration...

I think the mexican, rather better latin (because not all latins are mexicans) immigration to the US cannot be compared to the nature of the immigration that is going on in Sweden. Because my values I will hold back on the comments but if 'those immigrants' who come to Sweden would be as hard working, easy going and adaptable as the mexicans I've met, I would not be as concerned.

I lived for 12 yrs in LA and totally agree that Mexicans are as good as it gets in terms of immigrants. For the most part they are hard working, nice, family oriented people. There are of course some problems, but by the second generation they are as American as anyone. Their kids act like Americans, serve in the military, work hard and fit in.

Comparing Mexicans to Muslims is ridiculous. Mexicans don't have a political/religious ideology that tells them to hate and exploit their host country. Muslims do.
