It would be somewhat incredulous to consider this officer's investigations/interrogations as being impartiial and unbiased and regrettable that
the investigation is tainted with such behaviour.
A professional would have/should have excused themselves from the investigation on the ground of personal involvement.
Every day this goes on, it becomes more of a circus.
The good thing about this mess of stupidity, is that there is now international attention on how the law and order process is conducted in Sweden.
Swedes might think burying there collective heads in the sand will allow them to ignore the problem as usual, but way to many Europeans have seen that there is a major problem in how the process's around law and order are conducted in Sweden.
I have seen so many rape cases thrown out of court due to lack of evidence, I have even seen cases where individuals have been tried and convicted and given 12, 18 and 24 month sentences! fFor Rape!!!
Has Assange really commited rape? In one instance, waking up in the middle of the night with a hard on and entering the woman who willingly had sex with him hours earlier? How many men have never done that?
I believe there is something more sinister going on here. It will be interesting to see how this pans out.
If you locked me in a room with a crate of whisky for a month, I couldn't think of a worse way to present Sweden to the world. People following this case who don't live in Sweden, please believe me; this must the nadir of Swedish justice. It's usually much better than this.
On with the show. Who's the next lawyer, prosecutor, policeman, or politician up for international humiliation?
every corrupt person involved should be thrown in jail.
However as the appeal is going to take at least another 6 months before it gets to the House of Lords, there may still be time for more to come out that will be sufficient for the British authorities that the Swedish system IS bent.
>"With this now coming to light, I think you can question the entire preliminary investigation," he told the newspaper.
. . . Really? Geez, I knew about the friendship from rixstep for months. I didn't realize that it would be such a huge news in Sweden. Does anyone bother reading the police files anymore?
Mr Reinfeldt should offer Parliment a correction. Then, he should announce an independant enquiry so we can all learn exactly what has been going on here.
This is starting to smell of something worse than incompetence, revenge and feminism gone mad. It's beginning to stink of corruption.
Apparently Assange has made clear he will go all the way to the European Courts if necessary.
Most likely this will go on for the next year at least.
In that year, Sweden, the Swedish system of prosecution, Swedish police and Rheinfelt's defence of the Swedish prosecution system, will be disgraced internationally.
In the long run, it could force some Swedes to take their collective heads out of the sand and actually look hard at some of the problems in Swedish law and order and how it is conducted.

These people accusing or prosecuting Assange are all friends and colleagues, and they're all in the same political party. It looks very suspect.
The response from Ulf Göranzon is also not good enough. There needs to be an inquiry.
The truth is out there
I´am the writing on the wall
Sweden's legal/justice system is an international joke. One will find more justice in a 3rd world dictatorship.
Shame on Sweden. If the Swede's are smart they will use this to institute sweeping changes in the police, lawyers, judges, procescutors, and the laws.
How sad. This is only going to get worse for the image of the country before it gets any better.
this saga is getting so twisted and curly that any more twists will detach it from the porcine animal's behind!
maybe they should move aside and let others into the trough too! ROFL
If the authorities do not consider the actions of some of the officers involved to be 'collusion' and/or 'conspiracy to pervert the course of justice'. then the whole system will fall into serious disrepute and disrespect.
Sweden, you now have an exit ticket from this embarrasing soup. Use it quickly.
Nice Work! Everybody ought to read this piece. Feels very much like "Millenium". This "case" stinks like old surströmming. We certainly haven't heard the last of this.
Why is no action taken against this police officer? She would be suspended and investigated in another country.
You can have and keep the baby - which you did not plan for and are probably not ready for.
You can have an abortion, which will bother you psychologically for the rest of your life
You can have the baby and give it away which will also bother you psychologically for the rest of your life.
Another option is you can get sexually transmitted diseases, which can affect your ability to have a child when you actually want to in future, or even AIDS.
On top of that there is the violation of being used in this manner by someone you thought you could trust.
These are the reasons Assange will be brought back to Sweden and he will go to JAIL!
Do not get distracted.
How would you feel if someone did this to your daughter or sister?
Kudos Sweden for not promoting jerks. Assange is a total @-hole!
recusar Spanish ricusare Italian; diskvalificera sig (själv) ; anklaga sig för fördomsfullhet to denounce oneself because of prejudice
The Swedish legal system does indeed bear some resemblance to that of a failed state. Christian ethics and morality do not exist because there is no big Daddy up there in the sky to invent, legislate and give substance to the rules of the language game where the politico-judicial language game is supposedly governed by rules but not always by the same rules.
"and the judge will be the 'victim's' mother ?"
Don't be ridiculous. The judges will of course be Claes Borgström's friends - i.e. political appointments!
It seems regrettable that they did not consider this beforehand and ironic that the one whose life and future seems so theatened is JA.
It also seems somewhat strange to think that condoms are totally foolproof.
Do not get distracted, make sure your sister or daughter have the word 'NO' in their vocabulary and understand when to use it.
If you agree to consentual sex WITH a condom, and your partner tricks you by not using one, that is the situation.
The problem is the legal system, Plain and simple. Rabid female police officers, press-hungry prosecutors, And court officials whose heads haven't seen the light of day since first inserting their heads in their own rectums. When the police can shoot a defenceless teenager in the back without repercussions and a preteen can be charged and convicted for making pig noises at police officers, there is something terribly wrong here folks.
Aha! So if my consenting female partner claims to be on the pill, am I to get some tests done to her beforehand, so I can be sure she is being truthful and not deceiving me?
I know 'love is blind' it now appears from your definitions that consensual sex is also blind. I mean, come on, you only need to glance to see if there's a condom or not.
I take your point seriously, really. But, it's hard to convince me that a woman who does not say 'no' is a 'victim'.
This is what you get: Women can lie at will and destory the lives of innocent men.
