When police raided a home in Luleå in northern Sweden last November they discovered a small arsenal of weapons, including a shot-gun built into a guitar.

The police had received a tip off that the 54-year-old man was hoarding a bevy of unlicensed firearms in his house and performed a raid.

"They are therapy to keep off the drink," the man told police interrogators, according to the local Norrländska Demokraten (NSD).

Aside from the six more conventional weapons found in the apartment and a quantity of ammunition, police discovered that a wall-mounted guitar was not quite as it first appeared.

The neck of the guitar has been hollowed out and equipped with two shotgun barrels, while the body of the string instrument contained the beginnings of trigger mechanism.

In police interviews the man described the home made musical weapon as "a fun thing that was not finished".

Police found a further six weapons including a sawn off shotgun, a home made sub-machine gun, a Mauser rifle, two revolvers and a walking stick adapted to function as a rifle.

Stickers belonging to three known gangs in the Luleå area were also found at the man's house and led to police suspicions that the 54-year-old was buying and selling stolen weapons.

The man is now set to face charges concerning aggravated weapons crimes and receiving stolen goods, the newspaper reported.

ratta tatta taa or whatever the song is called. the police is experts on apprehending dui, speeding and some old geezer making a guitar, but fails miserably to track terrorism.

That guitar was for a solo act for sure.. Jimi Hendrix, look out!

I wonder if it had gone through airport or other security checks..

Great work, taking this guy in! I don't mind paying tax when I see these kind of results.

What movie? "Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003)" Star "Antonio Banderas, he played one of the mariachi (AKA Son's Of Mexico).

Similar to his movie "Desperado (1995)" , which I felt was better.

Both movies had almost all the same actors, including Salma Hayek.

This was originally done in 1967 in the (one and only) Roy Orbison movie "The Fastest Guitar Alive." You can check out the trailer on YouTube.

Now that's a guitar I could use! No one would complain about my playing...more than once.

How sad- Sweden is being invaded by Muslems, is bankrupt, but still finds time to hunt-down an old man with a few guns. Anyone there remember WWII??? If not, you're in for a very rude awakenning, very soon.

Cool idea, though! I'm particular to caneguns, shooting walking-sticks, and penguns.

Very interesting indeed except for one thing it is only an alleged shotgun as it is not as yet functional the police can't do any thing about it it is still a wall decoration!

yes this is how police work everywhere they total ignore the things the general population need and do stupid things like pick on old people!

why this week here because the quarry business has sold (changed hands) they are amusing them selves destroying the explosives when they could be used for something useful, but because the stuff exists they gotta have some fun and waste it!

they do petty stuff and ignore the terrorists and important stuff they would rather collect speeding fines than hunt down criminals!
