the bit about using a whole tree for a casket and embalming a buried body is just plain lunatic bovine faeces they must be pretty small trees and anyone embalming a body being buried should be well .................
It is a good idea to recycle people and freezing them that hard kills any pathogens
I think this is brilliant idea, as our grannies always said "waste not want not"
we do tend to waste a lot of valuable resources !
I have heard of PIXIE DUST but PEOPLE DUST????
@Da Goat - ...used on the garden the same as blood and bone fertiliser..."
As I understand it, the older the human body, the more toxic it is so you have to keep this away from food stocks.
I agree, too bad they did not mention the energy needed to dry the body and to create the liquid Nitrogen.
My "people" have had a long tradition of planting a tree FOR the dead. Now we can plant it ON the dead.
The most energy-conservative option is carrion beetles. Seal the cadaver in a box with the beetles and let them eat everything but the teeth and bones. The beetles are a fine source of protein for insectivores, such as edible fish.
I totally agree with you.
The convenient bury is the most ecological way to return human body back to soil. "Green" folks keep showing their stupidity...
