Ericsson chief earns 22.2 million kronor

The managing director of Ericsson, Carl-Henric Svanberg, received a total salary of 22.2 million kronor last year, according to the telecom giant's annual accounts.

Svanberg's fixed salary climbed from 12.7 million kronor in 2004 to 14.6 million kronor last year. But the bonus, which is calculated on the previous year's performance, fell to 7.6 million kronor from 9.6 million in 2004.
In 2005 Svanberg earned a bonus of 8.7 million kronor, which will be paid out this year.
