NATO asks Sweden for more help in Libya

OH please!!!!!!! No, No, No! Why O why do we even consider getting more involved in this continued BS. It is getting just as bad as Afghanistan.

What else do I need to loose faith in the NATO and the west as a whole?. Is the Qaddafi regime the most repressive in the world?. I do not think so. This fight is not for the people of libya. and that is why I feel sorry for the so called rebels.

An outsider coming in to join you fight your brother in the house is no friend to the family...

Because all this BS is to prove how neutral Sweden has been and how important the country is to NATO, which cannot count anymore with Zarkozy, Merkel, Berlusconi, Obama and the likes. Only supermonkey Reinfeldt can continue the so called protection óf civils in Libya. Only Sweden will continue bombing Gaddafi's palace to see if it can kill another member of his family; only Sweden, the allmighty Sweden can conquer the Arab world with his Jas-Gripen planes that have become so obsolete that almost no body wants them.

Looks like no Swedish politician as of today wants to repeat the same decisions as those of the 1940's(?) But I think Sweden began to show just that already 1961-64 in the Congo conflict when a dozen of J-29 Tunnan from the Swedish Air Force participated (among other things).

i wonder why NATO is doing all this, is it because they want to fully destroy and eliminate the lion who is correcting the mistakes of his own people? i don't think they on the right way. it is nice that i hear them beg for more troops, keep on, let again the sweds be swallowed by Qaddafi

I'm all for this NATO operation. Is Khaddafi the worst? Probably not. Are we hypocrites because the NATO is taking action in Libya rather than other countries? No. You have to take your opportunities where you find them. The West doesn't have unlimited resources, so Libya is ripe today and other countries will have to wait. Should we be there? Yes. Democracy is not the natural state of humanity. Tyranny is, historically. The sooner we get rid of these dictatorships the better. It's better for them and us. Not perfect, but better.

I think Sweden SHOULD contribute more to the war effort in Libyia. As long as this "help" does not involve flinging open the asylum gates.

Good, send more troops....if the government here had half a brain they'd be leading the force there and later securing oil resources after it's all over. Syria and Yemen have nothing, so who cares about them. It's all about the oil, and since it's getting more and more expensive here to fill up my car, take that bastard out and get Swedish companies to run the oil fields there...take that Norway!

Swedish people do not want their taxed money to waste by the KING's will, but they do not care killing humans by sending/selling weapons, fighterplanes, guns.

Because the reports of exactly what Håkan Juholt and Urban Ahlin are supposed to have said, have been at best incomplete, we have had a false or distorted picture of exactly what they have been saying. Thankfully, the misleading impression has now been corrected by the additional information provided here, to wit:

NATO asks Sweden for continued support for the aggression on Libya. But the politicians of Sweden doesn't represent us anymore. Therefore I - on the behalf of the people of Sweden - kindly ask NATO to bugger off!

NATO used to be the good guys -- then when communism fell they decided that imperialism was the best option. Libya is merely a war for oil.

They have nothing to do with Qadhafi, they have nothing to do with rebels, they only have to do with Oil. Shame on us. What kind of human we are? We are killing innocent people just for f***ing oil? And we call ourselves civilized people.

NATO supported the muslims in Bosnia and kosovo against the serbs who lost what was rightfully their territory and now we are supporting and financing the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya (and in the rest of the arab world). What on earth are our politicians doing?

Actually I'm thinking Norway would have finished it! They have contributed impressively much especially considering the size of the country. But the Yankees wants to take the credits as they usually do - what else is new? ;)
